Hawk 34 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 I don't think so. Penn State was not as highly regarded as Michigan then and Appalachian State is a FCS team whereas Buffalo is actually a FBS team. Being the worst team in the MAC is just about as close as being a Div-II team as possible, besides, Penn State is already pulling ahead 17-3 at the half.
teke184 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 It looks like the Big Ten will be won by Penn State or Purdue the way things are going right now... Michigan just plain sucks, Ohio State's offense is anemic (20 points against Akron, plus giving up a safety), and WTF is wrong with Wisconsin?
snuffbox Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 I would like to mention that Wisconsin hasn't actually lost yet, they're just making it look way too dificult thus far.
Celtic Guardian Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 I would like to mention that Wisconsin hasn't actually lost yet, they're just making it look way too dificult thus far. Virginia Tech now down 7-0 at home against Ohio early in the 2nd quarter. The ACC and Big 10 are racing each other to the bottom of the barrel.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Something I've never seen before in the UVA/UNC uglyfest: the back judge miscalled a good field goal. The ball went through the uprights at the bottom left corner, and both judges ruled no good. Thankfully UVA's video guys caught it and got them to go to the replay. Further evidence that ACC refs are the worst in the land.
snuffbox Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Again, they haven't lost yet. They just re-took the lead with PJ Hill's fourth touchdown rush. And, they didn't actually lose last week either. Yes, they have been more than frustrating at times the past couple weeks at times but, to act like their season is over is really dumb.
Guest Smues Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 I just turned on the TV to ESPN and the first thing I see is some Pitt player telling a teammate "You look fucking tired." OMG call the FCC!
snuffbox Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 PJ Hill with touchdown number 5. Season OVER!.
yankovic fan Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 I don't think so. Being the worst team in the MAC is just about as close as being a Div-II team as possible, besides, Penn State is already pulling ahead 17-3 at the half. Who's playing a division 2 team? Why is ESPN2 bouncing around from game to game and then going back to C Mich vs. Purdue?
Vern Gagne Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Tim Brewster is a clueless jackass.
teke184 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Mississippi State has almost officially Croomed Auburn, 19-14, with 48 seconds left in the 4th.
Slayer Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Now I'm a little more pissed off at KSU not being able to put away Auburn
Guest Smues Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 UW held OSU scoreless through the 1st quarter, but that'll change shortly at they're at about the 20. A great diffensive stop was negated by a running into the punter penalty
Danville_Wrestling Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Mississippi State has almost officially Croomed Auburn, 19-14, with 48 seconds left in the 4th. I don't follow Mississippi State that closely but will that win save Croom's job for next season? Also, I'm glad that game finished because the local ABC affiliate in Bowling Green was airing that game and not taking us to Michigan-Notre Dame.
Guest Smues Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Damn, what should have been a fumble is ruled an incomplete pass and since it's non re-viewable OSU keeps the ball, instead of the Husky touchdown it would have been. boooo.
Danville_Wrestling Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Michigan is just ripping Notre Dame to pieces. I'm not surprised but this game is just an absolute massacre.
Vern Gagne Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Notre Dame might have the worst OL in CFB history.
Guest Smues Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Mother fucker, 3rd and goal and shovel pass right to the defense keeps UW off the scoreboard again.
teke184 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Iowa just lost to Iowa State after a failed attempt to re-create the Big Game kickoff return by Cal against Stanford.
Der Kommissar Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Minnesota also just lost to Florida Atlantic. I am really going to miss the "Embarrassing Big Ten Loss(es) of the Week" once conference games start.
Guest Smues Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Touchdown Huskies, 7-3 going into the half. Edit: and apparantly that's the first TD Ohio State has given up this season.
snuffbox Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Minnesota also just lost to Florida Atlantic. I am really going to miss the "Embarrassing Big Ten Loss(es) of the Week" once conference games start. Was that the second one of the year so far? And, does it really count as embarassing when its Minnesota being beaten? They're like the JV of the Big Ten.
snuffbox Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Can Notre Dame beat anybody this year? Goddamn, they are bad.
teke184 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Can Notre Dame beat anybody this year? Goddamn, they are bad. MAYBE three teams at the end of the year... They play Stanford (the patsy of the Pac10), Navy (service academy, although they've been a bowl team recently), and Duke (probably the worst BCS Conference team).
strummer Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Lou Holtz says that the ND offense looks "quite inept at this time".
teke184 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Mississippi State has almost officially Croomed Auburn, 19-14, with 48 seconds left in the 4th. I don't follow Mississippi State that closely but will that win save Croom's job for next season? Also, I'm glad that game finished because the local ABC affiliate in Bowling Green was airing that game and not taking us to Michigan-Notre Dame. That game alone? No. However, if they use this to right the ship and get 5-7 wins, it should do it. (They've got 2 wins right now and still play Ole Miss, Arkansas, I-AA Gardner-Webb, and UAB, so 6 wins COULD be realistic.) Having them beating Tennessee, West Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama, or Kentucky is a stretch with their limited offense right now. (They've got a good running game but suck at passing.)
teke184 Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Lou Holtz says that the ND offense looks "quite inept at this time". Lou Holtz just needs a shell and he can be a tortoise... he's always been slow to catch onto things, but this is bad even for him. "10 wins this year" my ass, Lou.
CanadianChris Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Lou Holtz says that the ND offense looks "quite inept at this time". Really, what would any of us do without Lou's expert analysis and insights into the game?
Guest Smues Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 An Ohio State touchdown followed by UW fumbling away the kickoff has squashed my hopes on this game pretty damn fast. Come on UW
