Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 LeBron James went to the Zack Malibu school of favorite teams.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 5, 2007 Author Report Posted October 5, 2007 Jeter fails in the clutch, Abreu doesn't.
mike546 Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 TBS either has the crowd too loud or to low. There's a really annoying Yankee fan that keeps getting picked up screaming "NO NO NOOO" on every close pitch.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 5, 2007 Author Report Posted October 5, 2007 Anyone notice a commentator asking the other about Sabathia leaving the pitches high, and the other commentator just repeating the question?
Vern Gagne Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Is that Quint from Jaws sitting next to the Drum Guy?
mike546 Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Of course Posada waits for the playoffs to start to return to pre career year form. edit: Fucking Wang has been AWFUL.
CanadianChris Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 What the hell is wrong with the sound? I can't even hear the announcers, and the crowd sounds like I'm listening to them underwater.
Brett Favre Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 I hope Torre realizes that Wang sucks ass on the road. Posada has left like five, and Matsui needs to sit down. Giambi should replace him.
mike546 Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 He should have gone through with starting Duncan. He kills lefties.
geniusMoment Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 The games look and sound fine to me, I don't get all the bitching here. No stupid shit like scooter. Some of you will complain about anything.
mike546 Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 WHY IS HUGHES IN THE GAME????????????? Torre's fucking going to let Mussina get destroyed in game four. Ugh.
Brett Favre Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Hughes should have started the game.
mike546 Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Hughes should have started the game. I don't know if your being sarcastic, but it should have been Hughes/Clemens game 1, Pettite game 2, Wang game three.
Brett Favre Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Honestly I thought it should have been Pettitte, Clemens, Wang, ehhh not sure how the schedule works but if it's the 5th day then Pettitte, and I guess Clemens and all hands on deck for game 5. Hughes wouldn't have been a bad choice though. I remember Kellerman suggesting Ian Kennedy, but he got hurt. Kennedy was dealing.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 The games look and sound fine to me, I don't get all the bitching here. No stupid shit like scooter. Some of you will complain about anything. We shouldn't compliment TBS just for being better than Fox. We could do that ourselves with iMovie.
KingPK Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 The games look and sound fine to me, I don't get all the bitching here. No stupid shit like scooter. Some of you will complain about anything. There were some problems with the sound that made the crowd completely overpower the announcers. It's like they can't find the right balance.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Hey Dick, reading the fucking lineup is supposed to be the easiest part of calling a ballgame. Start at the top...go to the bottom. Way to read off the lineup in the unorthodox 1-8-2-5-9-3-4 order. "Alfonso Soriano leading off, with Jacque Jones batting eighth, Ryan Theriot takes over in the 2 hole, with Matt Murton platooning against the left-hander batting fifth..." What? We're not all looking at the screen at all times. Just read it top to bottom.
Dobbs 3K Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Well, I'm pretty happy with how this post-season is going so far. That is all.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Well, I'm pretty happy with how this post-season is going so far. That is all. Based on what?
Dobbs 3K Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Based on the Yankees and Cubs losing their first games, and the Rockies going 2-0. If the Angels hadn't completely choked earlier, my satisfaction would be totally completely. Three out of four ain't bad, though.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 What impact do the Cubs have on your life at this point? If you're rooting for Arizona to spite the Cubs, you're retarded. The Brewers fucked it up whether the Cubs win or lose. Soto homers, so take that, you dumbass Nazi motherfucker. Soriano is swinging at garbage. Come on. It's Doug Davis. He isn't any fuckin' good.
Dobbs 3K Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Gee, it sounds like I touched a nerve. I've been called a lot of things, both in real life and on this message board, but I think "dumbass Nazi motherfucker" was the first time three different slurs were so colorfully conglomerated. I think you just won a cookie for that one. Yes, the Brewers did "fuck it up", but that doesn't mean I still can't hate the Cubs and their fans with their bewildering sense of entitlement. I guess I can't wait to hear about the "Lou Piniella Curse" or the "Zambrano Curse", or whatever excuse, after the Northsiders fail to make the World Series yet again.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 What impact do the Cubs have on your life at this point? If you're rooting for Arizona to spite the Cubs, you're retarded. The Brewers fucked it up whether the Cubs win or lose. Soto homers, so take that, you dumbass Nazi motherfucker. So its okay for you to root against a team like the White Sox but not for Invader to root against the Cubs? Odd logic there... or just plain hypocrisy.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 I hate the Cubs and their fans with their bewildering sense of entitlement. Excuse me, are you a White Sox fan? Go rob a liquor store.
Dobbs 3K Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Nope. Used to dislike them quite a bit when the Brewers were still in the American League. And yes, Doug Davis isn't very good, or at least very mediocre. That's why the Brewers traded him for Johnny "Swing at the first pitch and can't throw anyone out on the basepaths" Estrada.
Vampiro69 Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 I just realized that the combined age of the Yankees starters for round one is a astounding 145 years. Clemens clocks in at 45, Wang 27, Pettitte 35 and Mussina is 38. Al, any idea what the oldest combined age for playoff starters is in MLB history?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 The games look and sound fine to me, I don't get all the bitching here. No stupid shit like scooter. Some of you will complain about anything. There were some problems with the sound that made the crowd completely overpower the announcers. It's like they can't find the right balance. The picture on TBS in HD is awesome, but theres definitely a sound problem related to crowd noise, its wierd but Ive seen the same thing sometimes on ESPN games before..
Dobbs 3K Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 I think the Yankees went to an age based salary scale, probably under secret orders from Big Stein's brain in a jar.
