Yes! TSM has finally hit the radar as viable enough to have a Universal employee act like a regular forum poster as a form of viral marketing. I read about people doing this for video games in EGM awhile back. I love it.

I like the twist of the infiltrator admitting he's a studio employee, too.

That's the worst crap I've ever seen in my life. I'm never watching another Universal movie again in my life. I'm also going to tell ten friends not to ever watch Universal movies and have them tell ten friends do the same, and so on.

This guy is a legit poster. All within a minute of this he expressed he liked the Office in a thread, the new season of House is "awesome" and even gave us multiple sentences on why the Geico Caveman sitcom is "retarded". Despite the quality of the programs, I'm sure it probably has nothing to do with the Office and House being produced by Universal, whereas that Caveman show is not.

That would be weird turning in screen shots of your forum posts to your boss as part of "work".

Also why do they always try to advertise really shitty low budget movies on forums? Why not something people might actually want to see and something that will be in theaters?

Movie must have nothing for an advertising budget so they have to use this kind of crap.

I wonder if he was supposed to write that, or if he realized that it's so obvious that he is just shilling a shitty movie for his company that he might as well just let the cat out of the bag. I am sorry, but who mentions the likes of Eurotrip when they are trying to mention how I should see a movie? Also, American Pie? That movie came out 8 years ago. The target audience for this movie were probably about 10 back then, and are likely to barely even remember that movie.

Well, do you really need to advertise something like, say, Batman in forums? They are just trying to drum up a few extra buys for a shitty movie. I am not sure how that type of thing works, as most people would automatically ferret them out to be nothing more than a spammer. Then again, the people who are most likely to buy a movie like this one would probably be too stupid to notice.

Do a Google search for oscarjunk25+matt, [email protected], and so on. I hate bullshit like this. It's the same sort of twats that jack up the IMDB ratings of small movies when they are first listed before other people have ever seen it, in order to trick people into thinking that a piece of shit movie is actually of any sort of quality at all.

Then again, it shows that TSM is indeed on the radar of certain people, even if it's the radar of a douchebag. This particular one has been doing this for at least two years.

I'm not gonnna ban the guy just yet. Heck, I doubt they'll post much more considering they usually make a few posts at a forum, then move on to the next one. I might move this thread though.

Here he presents the "I don't know about this movie, can you please help me" method of promotion.

I think he should be retained, personally. I just hope he brings better comedy next time. On another few boards, he titles the post, "Cougar Club is coming out! Who's excited?!?" or something like that. The mental image of someone being super excited to watch crap like Cougar Club is just too funny to me.

When Spence and Hogan graduate from college, life is bleak. They have to work for heinous divorce lawyers that torture them. Spence has a girlfriend from hell and Hogan just wants to start his life already. As luck would have it, our two young men are presented with an opportunity, they develop a club of young men devoted to the older woman, the "Cougar" if you will.
