King Kamala Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 Good for American Gangster, looking forward to checking that out next weekend.
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 I am glad it worked out this way. Bee Movie was one I kinda wanted to see when I first heard about it, but now it has been overmarketed to the point where I could care less.
Insanity Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 Not a surprise. Denzil is a huge draw already and the addition of everyone else was just a cherry on top. Bee Movie did play it smart though since I'm sure a lot of its revenue came from kids trying to sneak into American Gangster.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 What was The Gameplan's opening numbers?
2GOLD Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 What was The Gameplan's opening numbers? 22.9 million. It has had amazing staying power.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 It's times like this that I wish I had a daughter instead of a son. Gameplan seems like a father/daughter-type movie; my son certainly doesn't want to see it...
Ginger Snaps Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 That number has to be a big disappointment for Bee Movie, since they were hyping it for months to be the big fall kids / family movie. Maybe to the point where people were just sick of seeing the ads for it I guess. But, it could have staying power. Good for Denzel. I hope he gets another Oscar nomination out of this.
2GOLD Posted November 5, 2007 Report Posted November 5, 2007 What was the budget for Bee Movie? 150 million before advertising.
