modern day Oregon Trail game

Recommended Posts

Haha I remember this game, everyone died of the shits whenever I played it though. However, it was always funny seeing what strange illness your friends from school would die of.

My first game I didn't make it.

I was a slacker, and was low on cash the entire time. Low cash eventually turned into low morale. My step-sister left in Boulder to work in a local production of Cats. My sister left..somewhere, I forget where, and decided to just get on a plane to get to the concert faster. My step-sister's step-son got homesick and ran home to mommy. Then in Vegas I lost all will to live, sold the car, and got a job at MiniMart. It never said what happened to my step-sister's husband. Maybe he was asleep in the car and I sold him along with it?

The hippies who wrote this have clearly been on a road trip or two. Very amusing... if it works. It crashed once and froze once for me.

Also, they need to tweak the hunting. It's even more frustrating than the original OT, and I didn't know that could be possible. Once I shot four different things but still took zero food back to the car.

Ah, the technique of spinning in a circle and pushing the spacebar as quickly as possible in hopes that a buffalo or two gets picked off. Then the sadness of only being able to carry back a meager portion of the kill. Good times.

Reading the gravestones throughout the game was one of the memorable moments.
