Just have Nash with the stick (he'll be professional since he won't bury his friend) and he'd say "I dunno where Scott is, but we got a young guy who would love to take advantage, Eric Young, get down here". Young was a misfire as well. The only people following TNA that would be aware of the ramifications of Joe's promo would already seen the promo and no woman's match will inspire someone to drop cash down for a replay.

Politically speaking, he probably could fuck someone up. One great promo, one incredibly heated match (if only average from an wrestling POV) and one of the best heel performances I've seen from any wrestler ever. Maybe you have lower standards, but that wouldn't get me to shell out $30 on a PPV. It might get me watching it for free, but not buying it.

Nash going on the mic, apologising for Hall, and then quickly brining on Young wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world but it would have been very flat. And the main event sucked anyway, Joe's speech was the only memorable thing about the whole thing. I don't think it's something that only insiders got either, which has been another criticism of it . A casual fan would have known exactly what he was getting at.

AJ's reactions were priceless, his current heel schtick is one of the few good things left in TNA. I've given up hope. It's always two steps forward, three steps back: push a good worker like Kazarian, bring in Dustin Rhodes. Build a good homegrown face in Harris, turn him for no reason. Bring in a "WWE reject" Tomko who improves dramatically, job him out once he shows potential.

And if whiny goth boys want to bring again the briefcase match, here's what i have to tell them: it was GOOD. And who cares if we have to watch iMPACT to see the result? It only makes something good last longer... because we're curious about the briefcases. Internet wrestling communities like this one are a huge problem for wrestling. A fan watches the show, enjoys it, then if he makes the mistake of wanting to talk about what he saw in a wrestling community... like this one... he falls on a bandwagon of trolls putting down everything they see. It does affect the enjoyment of people who don't fall for this gothic behavior and i must say it almost affected my perception of the show myself, after reading the mass of gothic comments here, i was almost saying "wow the show really sucked" and THAT is why i watched it again... to see how my perception was affected by all this bandwagon... and OH it was affected alright, because that was ONE GREAT PPV FOR THE BOOKS.

Take out goth and replace it with emo in all of his comments and it'd still sound stupid but make sense (sort of). That's one of the reasons I think Jearan's a gimmick- I haven't seen anybody seriously call someone a goth in four or five years.

And you're right, I'm not a fan. Because I was a TV play-by-play commentator for five years. Including for many matches with various people who worked for TNA. And since I lived in Nashville, I went to a shitload of their shows. I'm not talking out of ignorance. Neither are the others here. That guy Scroby for example last month refereed the main event match of that Frisco wrestling convention with none less than the Great Fricking Muta in it. He's got more than two clues to rub together. As for the rest of the posters here, most of 'em aren't just shitting on TNA for no reason. Oh it IS fun, no doubt about that, but they're not just lying or making up shit just for the hell of it. If they say they dislike the show, it's because they really did dislike the show, or the booking, or the general direction of the company throughout its history.

I kinda wish Beavis and BUTT-head were still around so that they could play bands like 30 Seconds to Mars or whoever and mercilessly ridicule it. TNA is fun to make fun and yet I watch it as well. It's so much like WCW circa mid 2000, and I mean that in both a good way and also a very bad way.
