Guest RyechnaiaSobaka Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 If you haven't voted yet for the NHL All-Star Game, the ballot is available here: http://fanballoting.nhl.com/ Personally, I'm disappointed with the selection of players available outside of the write-in lists, but whatever. So, who'd you vote for? I voted for: Eastern Conference: Forward #1: Vincent Lecavalier - TB Forward #2: Ilya Kovalchuk - ATL Forward #3: Daniel Alfredsson - OTT Defense #1: Joseph Corvo - OTT * Defense #2: Chris Phillips - OTT Goaltender: Cristobal Huet - MTL Western Conference: Forward #1: Jarome Iginla - CGY Forward #2: Henrik Zetterberg - DET Forward #3: Paul Stastny - COL Defense #1: Nicklas Lidstrom - DET Defense #2: Doug Murray - SJ * Goaltender: Pascal Leclaire - CBJ * - Write-in. I wanted to vote for Tim Thomas as the goalie for the East and Chris Osgood as the goalie for the West, but they were not available. I think this balloting system sucks, not just because it's slow as balls because for whatever reason they can't just use a regular web form and everything has to be Flash with fades and whatever, but that has a lot to do with it. Fuck it.
Guest Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 I voted for Crosby Lecavalier Kovalchuk Chara Kaberle and Lundqvist Wanted to vote in Tobias Enstrom, but wasn't able to. and for the West Iginla Zetterberg Kopitar Lidstrom Zubov and Leclaire Had I not voted for Kopitar, I would've voted for Datsyuk.
Nightwing Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 This balloting system does suck. EAST Crosby Lecavalier Kovalchuk Chara Corvo* and Lundqvist WEST Zetterberg Datsyuk Iginla Lidstrom Zubov and Osgood* I can't believe Hasek has any votes at all.
Zetterberg is God Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 East Crosby Lecavalier Kovalchuk Markov Chara Gerber West Zetterberg Datsyuk Thornton Lidstrom Rafalski Leclaire
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 I can't remember everyone I voted for but I voted for: Chara, Gerber, Crosby, Malkin, Getzlaf, Lidstrom, Giguere, Joe Thorton. That's pretty much it.
Red Baron Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Koviu, Ovechkin, Heatley, Markov, *Komisarek, Huet Cammellari, Kopitar, Datsyuk, Phaneuf, Beauchiman, LeClaire
CanadianGuitarist Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 ^ Anyone wanna know who his favourite Simpsons character is? HOMER! I have underrated Markov and Huet, but come on, Koivu? Hadn't had a goal in 12 games until Saturday. I like Komisarek a lot, think he does a lot of the intangibles that don't make Sportscentre, but I don't see him as an all-star....this year. Anyway, East: Lecavalier, Kovalchuk, Crosby, Markov, Phillips, Huet West: Iginla, Zetterberg, Kopitar, Lidstrom, Ohlund, Luongo. I feel really badly about not putting Heatley on there. And to further the bitching about the voting system, why are Corey Perry and Christian Huselius write-ins?
Annabelle Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Koviu, Ovechkin, Heatley, Markov, *Komisarek, Huet Cammellari, Kopitar, Datsyuk, Phaneuf, Beauchiman, LeClaire your west choices are nucking futs, dude. kopitar is great and all. camellari hasn't played very well lately at all. datsyuk is great, but above zetterberg? cmon homey.
Guest Skye Sweetnam Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Are we supposed to vote for Rory again. Eh, whatever, I'm voting for him anyway. And a bunch of former Sabres.
CanadianChris Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 East: Alfredsson, Heatley, Crosby, Phillips, Corvo, Lundqvist West: Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Iginla, Phaneuf, Lidstrom, Osgood
RepoMan Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 I'm only interested if there's a campaign for an obscure player.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Let's start the Craig Anderson All Star push. He's Vokoun's backup in Florida.
Guest RyechnaiaSobaka Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Um, how about we start a push for obscure players who are not on the regular lists despite being freakin' awesome this year, such as Tim Thomas or Chris Osgood?
Red Baron Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Koviu, Ovechkin, Heatley, Markov, *Komisarek, Huet Cammellari, Kopitar, Datsyuk, Phaneuf, Beauchiman, LeClaire your west choices are nucking futs, dude. kopitar is great and all. camellari hasn't played very well lately at all. datsyuk is great, but above zetterberg? cmon homey. C'mon this thing is a farce anyways. It's not supposed to be taken seriously. CG: Komi is awesome.
Annabelle Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 might as well just have detroits top powerplay unit as the starting five. seriously.
treble Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 Let's start the Craig Anderson All Star push. He's Vokoun's backup in Florida. Oh no, can't do that. We'll ruin the sanctity of the NHL All-Star game. Don't you know how much prestige there is it in right now!
RepoMan Posted December 25, 2007 Report Posted December 25, 2007 Let's start the Craig Anderson All Star push. He's Vokoun's backup in Florida. I'm actually a big fan of his from his time with Rochester in recent years.
Guest My Pal, the Tortoise Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 For your consideration, Patrick Sharp leads the league with seven short-handed goals. If the refs call penalties in the ASG, Sharpie's your guy!
