The PS 50

The critiera for those that don't know: this is based soley on in ring performances. Not on promos or pushes . Although obviously main eventers are going to be higher since they've had more of a chance to show off... I think Cena should be higher but consdering he wasn't even on the list last year (they really don't rate him as a wrestler at all and think he'scarried to everything) this has to be considered a breakthrough.

Bullshit. They think Orton is good enough to be up there but not Cena. I would also say KENTA deserves to be lower than Marufuji on that list. Being Stiff shouldnt be a criterion for such a list

Yeah, Randy Orton at #5 really threw me for a loop. How did they go about defending that decision?

Great matches with Cena, RVD, Edge, Triple H and HBK, I guess. Also, he's the best seller in that company by far, in my humble opinion.

Angle hasn't been too good this year. I mean he's had some decent matches with Sting and Jay Lethal but that was about it. I didn't like either of his matches with Joe from this year (The Ironman or the one one with all the belts on the line.) I thought his matches with Christian and Steiner sucked. Honestly, I don't know if I would even have Angle in a list of my top 50 workers. Orton being that high surprises me. I'd probably have him somewhere around 30, but definately not number 1. Obviously, Cena should be top ten but powerslam still has a bias against him. Matt Hardy is at least 25 spots too low as well. MVP is nowhere to be found on this list. Abyss should be nowhere near any top 50 workers list. Kotaro Suzuki is kind of meh, he had some decent matches but most of them were because either of his opponents (Nigel) or his partner (Marvin).

For a workrate list, Batista is ridiculously high. All he has this year are his matches with Taker and that's about it.

Doug Williams really hasn't done shit for like 3 years and is only on it because they like to put on random brits.

I don't think these guys watch Lucha at all since their is none to be found on the list.

This list is almost as wacky as PWI's.

At least, Ricky Marvin's in the top 20. Although, he'd be top 10 or 5 in mine.

You would rank Cena ahead of Kurt Angle and Randy Orton? Why in the world would John Cena be in the Top 10? My shoelaces could wrestle a better match than him.

I think PS summed Cena up when they said he was a flawed, but hard working performer. Kurt Angle said something similar about him. He tries, but he simply doesn't have enough natural talent to be considered awesome. But he makes the best with what he has, and he should get credit for that.

As far as Orton is concerned, I think so much of his in ring work is taken for granted by fans. You only have to look at this past Monday's main event to see it. The huge gap in quality everytime him and Kennedy tagged in and out was astounding. Orton knows how to keep a match going, and is smoother and safer to work with than a lot of other guys in the ring. What's more, HBK and Hardy were visibly more comfortable to be working with him. Then Kennedy would tag in and the match would go to hell. That's the difference between a well rounded pro and someone who really doesn't have a clue.

As for Batista, I'd put them up there with Cena when it comes to doing a lot with not much natural talent. I mean, even if Taker was carrying him, he should get credited for being carried so well.

Angle, well, it's not a huge upset. I think he belonged in the top ten since he's had great matches with Joe, Lesnar, Jay Lethal and Sting this year. Number one might be a bit much, since he's still past his prime and nowhere near his 2000-2003 greatness but it's not like Khali is number one or anything.

As for Matt Hardy, I think he's had a good year but not an amazing one. I can only think of one or two memorable matches he had, and they were with Jeff.

The HBK whose fake fainting was so laughably bad that the crowd LAUGHED AT HIM en masse?

Kurt's match with Lethal was good but couldn't touch Cena/Umaga 1 and 2, Cena/Michaels 1 and 2, Cena/Orton, and Cena/Lashley. His match with Lesnar was like a shitty cliffnotes version of their 2003 matches with both guys not really looking like they wanted to get their suplexes out of the way and go home. Cena reminds me of The Rock where his movements and offense are sort of awkward yet still effective. I mean Cena isn't a Bryan Danielson in the ring or anything, but he makes up for it by bumping his ass off, making his opponents look credible, and selling greatly most of the time.

Honestly, the only bad Cena match I saw him wrestle this year was against Snitsky and well, it's fucking Snitsky.

1 KURT ANGLE (TNA; LAST YEAR PLACED: 15)

Incredible comeback by a man who was fired by WWE under a coal-black cloud in 2006 and was though to be completely shot as a pro-wrestler... Long running feud with Samoa Joe yielded superior matches at Turning Point, Final Resolution and Hard Justice... Pull aparts with Scott Steiner in February were hard-hitting, but their match at Destination X on March 11 was a dud... Captured the TNA World title at Slammiversary... Beat Brock Lesnar to win the IGF version of the IWGP World title in a good bout on June 29 in Tokyo... Bested Joe in a Winner Takes All match on August 12 to become World tag team and X Division champion as well... Dropped the strap to Jay Lethal in the high point of a three-match series at No Surrender on September 9... Lost the TNA World title to Sting in 'the Stinger's' best match in more than a decade at Bound for Glory... Regained the belt two days later... While concerns remain over his drink-driving arrest and nutty mainstream interviews, the 39-year old is said to be in his best physical condition in years.

You may commence howling with laughter...now.
