justsoyouknow 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 I saw Sweeney Todd this weekend, and I was surrounded by old people. At first, I was startled, until I heard them all buying tickets for the Bucket List. Then, I was very sad. Old people watching a movie about old people doing shit before they die. I swear, if there's a giant takeoff of skydiving elderly, I'm going to flip.

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Well, In The Name of The King flopped. When will they stop letting Uwe Boll direct movies?
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 No, I thought it was good. I think it sucks how poorly it did. (Walk Hard, I mean)
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 People went to First Sunday but ignored The Great Debaters? My head hurts.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 The Great Debaters hasn't been out in some places (We're not getting it till February I think) and has been out for a month in others. That explains its positioning
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Well, In The Name of The King flopped. When will they stop letting Uwe Boll direct movies? German tax loop. He has two more coming out (one of them has Dave Foley.)
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 Ah that's right. How easily I forget about that? For what it's worth, I've read a few decent reviews for Postal (his aforementioned movie starring Dave Foley). I doubt it'll get released in theaters but I might check it out on DVD. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 Well, In The Name of The King flopped. When will they stop letting Uwe Boll direct movies? We still have Postal to look forward to. King just looked like a bomb, Stathem (sp) just looks really out of place in that role...and it looks like a turd movie on top of that

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 http://www.cinemablend.com/features/Uwe-Bo...othing-209.html An article about how Boll funds his movies. He's admitted to as much in DVD commentaries.

Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2008 Well, In The Name of The King flopped. When will they stop letting Uwe Boll direct movies? We still have Postal to look forward to. King just looked like a bomb, Stathem (sp) just looks really out of place in that role...and it looks like a turd movie on top of that The dialog in the commercials sounded atrociously cheesy. "Drive evil from it's shell"? Who the hell thinks that's a great line for the hero? How did Statham end up in it? He should have fired his agent for even suggesting a Uwe Boll movie to him. Although if Leelee Sobieski runs around in very lowcut blouses I may see it when it comes to the movie channels. I'm not spending money on a ticket or the DVD of this pile of shit.
