Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Man, fuck this. I can't cough without it feeling like someone is stepping on my chest. Keep me company, guys.
BUTT Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 I know the feeling, man, it feels like you're having a heart attack. Did you take any antibiotics? Pneumonia is serious business Inc, you don't want to end up like Jim Henson.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 20, 2008 Author Report Posted January 20, 2008 Am I going to die? I had a pretty bad episode last night, but I'm feeling comparatively fine today. The chest pain is there, but tolerable.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 How the hell did you get pneumonia?
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 I hear it can go below 50 degrees sometimes there, Gene! Fahrenheit.
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Am I going to die? I had a pretty bad episode last night, but I'm feeling comparatively fine today. The chest pain is there, but tolerable. You can die from it if it goes untreated and gets bad enough.
Jingus Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 I once got put in the hospital by a double-lung dose of that shit. Not fun. Get well. That's an order.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 20, 2008 Author Report Posted January 20, 2008 How the hell did you get pneumonia? Serious answer: As a child, I had asthma. It gradually declined while I was in elementary school, to the point where now, in my adult life, I get a mild attack—more a minor nuisance than an "attack"—a couple times a year. As such, whenever I get a cold (a rarity itself), it tends to linger a lot longer than it would in most people. So, I got a cold a couple weeks back, which, even after everything else went away, a minor cough remained. I woke up on Thursday morning with a runny nose and mild fever, with the chest pain coming later that evening. It turns out I've had pneumonia before. I was too young to remember, so when the pain—which I originally thought to be a sore muscle—intensified on Friday, I became concerned that it was something more severe: my heart. I quickly put that foolish thought out of my mind, and here we are. I realize I haven't actually answered your question. Honestly, I don't know how I got it. I just know I'm more susceptible to it due to lingering respiration problems from my childhood. Amazing this hasn't happened sooner.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 22, 2008 Author Report Posted January 22, 2008 I never saw that movie, so I didn't get what you were going for.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Val Kilmer plays Doc Holliday, who had tuberculosis. You should put it on your Netflix queue.
