It gradually declined while I was in elementary school, to the point where now, in my adult life, I get a mild attack—more a minor nuisance than an "attack"—a couple times a year. As such, whenever I get a cold (a rarity itself), it tends to linger a lot longer than it would in most people. So, I got a cold a couple weeks back, which, even after everything else went away, a minor cough remained. I woke up on Thursday morning with a runny nose and mild fever, with the chest pain coming later that evening. It turns out I've had pneumonia before. I was too young to remember, so when the pain—which I originally thought to be a sore muscle—intensified on Friday, I became concerned that it was something more severe: my heart. I quickly put that foolish thought out of my mind, and here we are. I realize I haven't actually answered your question. Honestly, I don't know how I got it.
