Guest Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I don't think either of those teams are going to make it to the Western Conference Finals. Not only that, but we haven't played either one in the playoffs since I was a year old. I hold grudges against the rest.
Damaramu Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Does anyone feel like the only team in the East that can beat what the West has to offer is the Celtics? I feel like even if the Nuggets(yeah right) were to somehow make it to the finals they'd pound whoever they faced aside from Boston. Pistons...22-8 vs. the West this season, experience, much improved bench, plus I think they would be more in their element as the underdog (which I would imagine they'd be against most of the West teams) if they made the Finals. On another note, FUCK that Wizards/Cavs game earlier. I keep forgetting about the Pistons. And maybe that's what makes them so dangerous. Everyone keeps hyping the Celtics and then suddenly BAM! Pistons win it all.
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Could these fucking babies stop fucking crying. FUCK, just play ball.
Matt Young Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 My late first round picks: East Boston wins 4-0 Cleveland wins 4-2 Toronto wins 4-3 Detroit wins 4-2 West Los Angeles wins 4-1 Utah wins 4-3 Phoenix wins 4-3 Dallas wins 4-3

Yeah, I couldn't recall the Lakers and Mavs meeting in the playoffs recently (and yes, they haven't met in the 2000s at all after checking). I find it somewhat amazing that these two teams haven't crossed paths at least once in the past 7-8 years.
Damaramu Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Does Shaq actually shoot the ball on a free-throw or does he just kind of push it up there?
Guest Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 San Antonio would be wise to hack-a-Shaq before he fouls out.
CanadianChris Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 He tries to shoot it, but his shot is just indescribably ugly.
MFer Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Does Shaq actually shoot the ball on a free-throw or does he just kind of push it up there? As many anaylsts have said before, he basically "shot-puts" the ball up there. Random thought: I'll still never understand how Ben Wallace shoots about 10% worse from the foul line than Shaq. At least Ben looks like he's making an honest attempt at good form. (EDIT I guess he's had some type of lingering wrist issue for awhile now...I'm sure that plays a big factor)
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I can't understand Wallaces either. He does show some decent form, but wow. Happy the whining stopped and we got some basketball. Now we have one hell of a game going. And thank god for 2 minutes coming.
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 How do you NOT love this series...besides the complaining.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Yeah this is a great game... 3 seconds left lets see if the Suns can pull it off. EDIT: DOUBLE OT!
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Double overtime with no amare. Could be tough...although the defense should be better. because...you know...Amare don't play no mutha fuckin defense.
CanadianChris Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I wonder if the Spurs go back to the Hack-a-Shaq. I was as surprised as the announcers that they went away from it.
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 You can't foul him away from the ball right now. Nash is going to take over offensively. Boris also has to play big right now. Just one fuck of a game.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I think someone put Robert Horry into Michael Finlay's body today.
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Losing Kurt Thomas for NOTHING is so fucking annoying. He should be a Sun right now.
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I knew he was going to miss the second by the way the first went in. This is my blog for now by the way.
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 DUDE. That was one HELL of a game. Jesus. All that and it is still 1-0. If you are the Suns you can't feel to bad. A three by Duncan, a fouled out Amare and other bigs in foul trouble...you live with it.
Brett Favre Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Phoenix is made up of Steve Nash and a bunch of fuck faces. How the hell does Nash not take the last shot in the 4th and in the first OT? And Amare is another retard by getting that charge.
CanadianChris Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 All that and it is still 1-0. If you are the Suns you can't feel to bad. A three by Duncan, a fouled out Amare and other bigs in foul trouble...you live with it. No, they've got to be happy everything about this game but the final result. Play like that on Tuesday night and they probably come home with a split.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 All that and it is still 1-0. If you are the Suns you can't feel to bad. A three by Duncan, a fouled out Amare and other bigs in foul trouble...you live with it. No, they've got to be happy everything about this game but the final result. Play like that on Tuesday night and they probably come home with a split. Unless of course, San Antonio plays like that on Tuesday as well. Seems like Phoenix/San Antonio is always good for a game to watch in the playoffs.
Damaramu Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Phoenix is made up of Steve Nash and a bunch of fuck faces. How the hell does Nash not take the last shot in the 4th and in the first OT? And Amare is another retard by getting that charge. Exactly, Nash is your big shot guy as evidenced by that crazy 3-pointer he hit at the end of the 2nd OT. What a game. I feel bad for the Suns because I like Nash so much and because well, this is what usually happens to them. They always run into something in the playoffs. This is insane that this is the first round. Whoever's getting the winner of this series has gotta be licking their chops at the prospect of the team being tired out.
Ripper Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 I mean you know the Spurs were on the court too right...they denied Nash the ball... Its so fucking hilarious to listen to the talking heads after the game. So. The Spurs played amazing defense and the Suns played no defense....REALLY? They won by fucking two at the buzzer! They are so full of shit its not even funny. These two teams are as evently matched as you can get. I don't see how you can possibly argue that one team is better than the other. Whoever wins, wins one hell of a series.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Michael Finlay either had Robert Horry's or Reggie Miller's body inside him today.
