This next pick is so incredibly hard for me because there are about 4 matches I want and I know that the other three will all be gone by the time my turn comes around again. I guess I'm going to go with my 2007 Match of the Year:

John Cena vs Umaga - Last Man Standing - Royal Rumble 2007

The referee in that match looks like it's Ricky Steamboat.

The Rock vs. Steve Austin

Wrestlemania 17

4/1/2001

Probably the best Wrestlemania main event ever. And with all the quality WM matches going so quick I better scoop this one up while I can. I include the pre-match video packages and such.

Will stick with the same card for my next pick:

post-2806-1212353114_thumb.jpg

Edge & Christian v. The Dudley Boys v. The Hardy Boyz/WWF Tag Titles/TLC III/Wrestlemania X7/April 1, 2001

I think it could possibly get back to me, but like Austin-Rock (Which has the best pre-match package of all-time IMO) I love this match.

The pic is not of this particular match but the best I could find with it's two participants:

anglebenoit.jpg

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit - WWE Championship - WWE Royal Rumble 2003 - January 19, 2003

Their styles complimented each other so well. Just a great match.

So good that Benoit got a standing ovation after the bout.

I was wondering if there were going to be any Benoit matches. There was actually one I was going to pick on my last turn but I figured Rock/Austin was more likely to be chosen by someone else first.

Shit. Ravenbomb took my damn Punk/Delirious match! I figured that'd be a lock late teens pick, I didn't reckon on any other indy heads.

Although, they did have three matches in the series... :P

"Well then I know what I'M picking on my next turn."

I think a lot of people know what you're picking next turn.

The question is: Who's gonna get it first?

With one match, Mike Awesome managed to win back the hearts of ECW loyalists (after a very sour departure from the company some five years earlier), in what most consider the in-ring highlight of the best show of the year.

I know I'm a day behind, but I just re-read this, and as a staunch ECW loyalist, this statement couldn't be more accurate.

I'm not a fan of multiple-man matches (although my first pick obviously disregards that with 10 guys) so i'm going to pick one of only two triple threat matches i've ever liked.

This ranks so high for the plain reason it actually made me a fan of an entire promotion. I never liked TNA at all before this match, it just seemed too bush league to me at the time. I just happened to be switching over and Bravo2 were showing a PPV, just happened to catch five seconds of a match and I was immediately hooked, and it made me a fan of Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles.

TNA Unbreakable 2005

X-Division Championship

Chris Daniels vs AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe

I can't find a picture of the match.. so here's a swell picture of Joe.

I don't know why this match hasn't been chosen yet. An all time favorite of mine. As a kid I was a huge HBK fan and this was his defining moment. A great technical match and the start to one of the biggest feuds in history. Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart. World Championship Match. Iron Man Match. Wrestlemania 12. March 31, 1996

Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat/NWA World Championship/Chi-Town Rumble/February 20th, 1989

Not a pic from the actual match, but it's the best I could find. Anyway, figured I'd round out the trilogy seeing as the other 2 were taken. I don't think you can go wrong with any Flair/Steamboat match, so why not have one on my list. Great matwork and reversals, awesome chops from both and it ends with Steamboat beating Flair for the World Championship, can't get much better than that.

Edit: Thanks to CanadianChris for the pic.

Great choice again, but can't help but notice that it's exactly the same photo as the match on page one :]

Thanks, yeah I was hoping to find something from that match(I actually just finished watching it before I selected it) Unforunately, there just aren't too many pics from Chi-Town Rumble, so I just went with something close. I figured you guys would get the picture...uh, no pun intended.

Wow, I'm kinda shocked this one's still on the board.

Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon

WWF WrestleMania X, WWF Intercontinental Title Ladder Match

I personally think it still holds up well, even with what this match eventually spawned with the popularity of the Ladder Match gimmick. Add in the historical context and it's one of the essential matches of the 90s.

I'm in a bit of a rush, so no pics for now.

My first pick is going to open the door for one I'm still surprised is on the board:

Four Corners Tag from Raw two weeks before Summerslam '98: Austin/Taker vs. Kane/Mankind vs. New Age Outlaws vs. Rock/Dlo Brown/Owen Hart.

My second pick is from ECW Hardcore Heaven 99: Jerry Lynn vs Rob Van Dam.

This draft really needs a kick in the ass. We've only had 11 picks in the past 55 hours. The other draft has had 35 in the same amount of time. I think if someone misses their turn more than once, they should be eliminated from the draft and their already-chosen matches put back up for grabs.
