The anchor of a retooled Oiler defense that finished in the top 10 in both pass and rush defense for four consecutive years. Another dirt-tough player; missed only 3 games in his career.

According to what I've read about this guy, he was a big strong hillbilly that played college ball at West Virginia. No dummy, though. Graduated with a degree as a chemical engineer. What that meant in West Virginia in the 1950s is anyone's guess. Big fucker for back then, too. 6'2" 240 and built.

 

Bosley was drafted as a DE by the Niners in '56, moved to LG, went to his first pro bowl in 1960, moved to C a little while later, and went on a tear for three straight pro bowls starting in 65. That's the kind of productive longevity, consistency, and versatility I'm all about in a lineman.
