NHL Mock Draft.

Recommended Posts

Same as the NFL mock draft, but it's the NHL (thus autmoatically makes it better).

Hopefully we can do at least three rounds of this. I'll pick the Habs.

The draft order:

1.) Tampa Bay Lightning

2.) Los Angeles Kings

3.) Atlanta Thrashers

4.) St. Louis Blues

5.) New York Islanders

6.) Columbus Blue Jackets

7.) Toronto Maple Leafs

8.) Phoenix Coyotes

9.) Nashville Predators (Florida Panthers pick)

10.) Vancouver Canucks

11.) Chicago Blackhawks

12.) Anaheim Ducks (Edmonton Oilers pick)

13.) Buffalo Sabres

14.) Carolina Hurricanes

15.) Nashville Predators

16.) Boston Bruins

17.) Calgary Flames

18.) Ottawa Senators: CanadianChris

19.) Columbus Blue Jackets (Colorado Avalanche pick)

20.) New York Rangers

21.) New Jersey Devils

22.) Edmonton Oilers [i[(Anaheim Ducks pick)[/i]

23.) Washington Capitals

24.) Minnesota Wild

25.) Montreal Canadiens :RedBaron

26.) Buffalo Sabres (San Jose pick)

27.) Philadelphia Flyers

28.) Dallas Stars

29.) Pittsburgh Penguins

30.) Detroit Red Wings.

Rules are simple.

24 Hour clock. You do not forfeit your pick if you go over 24 hours, however other teams will pick ahead of you.

No trades. Since the NHL trade draft picks freely already, I don't want to turn this into a massive clusterfuck of who is trade who for a dollar.

You'll probably be right. I follow the NHL well enough and have some hockey knowledge, but I don't know jack shit about draft prospects. I'd be surprised if 15 people signed up for this.

It's honestly a crapshoot in the top ten and I think past Vancouver's pick, there's a big drop-off, meaning that there could be any sort of trade or any kind of euro player taken there.

I'm assuming MFerXtreme is Detroit and Max is Boston?

It is a very defence oriented draft this year, but there a lot of good talent here to blossom into NHL stars.

Count me out big boy.

I barely have the attention span for work and my real life, let alone a fantasy all-time draft. I honestly don't have time to sit here and ponder who the Bruins are going to take at 16. Chiarelli, Bradley and Smith are the guys to talk to about that.
