King Kamala Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 Tom Brokaw. It was a Russert tribute show. I'm assuming they aren't trudging him out of the old folks home to replace him full time. I really have no clue who's going to replace him. Nobody at NBC comes to mind.
Timmy8271 Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I would think David Gregory. I hope i'm wrong because he would be the wrong choice.
King Kamala Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 There was an AP article I read yesterday that said Chris Matthews was the frontrunner for Russert's replacement. Lord help us all.
Ced Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 My guess is that they'll probably go to the cycle where a moderator will last for a year or two before they rotate in another person. Nobody is going to fully replace what Tim Russert brought on Meet the Press.
SuperJerk Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 As much as I find the guy entertaining, I'll be the first to admit Olbermann is too much of a partisan to pull off such an important gig. In the flood of old Russert interviews on TV this weekend, they had one with Dick Cheney from Sept. 16th, 2001, where he was explaining al Qaeda and how the administration was looking at the information, and it felt wierd because what he was saying seemed honest and accurate and suddenly I remembered what it was like to trust the Bush Administration.
Noah Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Olbermann should be the replacement. RIP Russert, you never did anything to anyone.
Timmy8271 Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 I like Olbermann but no way should he be the replacement. What's Sam Donaldson doing these days?
