Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Would you have wanted him at Derby last season if you had the chance, Franchise?
deancoles 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 For my first sub, I'm picking the player who led Bulgaria to 4th place in the 94 World Cup, had an appalling temper which he'll need to improve if my manager is ever going to bring him on. Hristo Stoichkov
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Of course, we only had Kenny Miller, and he was crap.

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 (edited) Well, if I'm picking a player specifically to be a substitute then there really is only one pick. The super-sub himself. 28 goals as a sub for United in his career, including THAT ONE in the Nou Camp. The Baby Faced Assassin... Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Edited July 16, 2008 by King Cucaracha
cr7 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 That's the other player I was considering, good pick, better person. I'm chomping at the bit for my next pick, let's keep this running gentleman.
Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2008 Nice pick with Ole, I always wished and hoped Newcastle would try and get him but all credit to the guy he loves United

sivy 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 my first pick is: Rudi Voller A great reserve striker also if needed can link up with klinsmann, as they have played together with germany. my second pick is Nemanja Vidić i think this guy is awesome and a great non-nonsense defender. he can link up with rio if needed. they are the best centre halves partnership. King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 Well, a manager's going to have to wait because I can't hold off on taking this person any longer. One of the most gifted players to ever wear an England shirt and certainly one of the most entertaining. Paul Gasgoine
Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 Another Geordie (well North-East) to the list! Think that's 5 now Shearer Beardsley Milburn Gazza Charlton Robson
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 Well, since I didn't get first crack at the managers round.. i'm taking the first round Stadium round. The home of football.. Wembley Stadium
deancoles 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 Chossing my Stadium before it's gone http://www.soccer-training-info.com/images/camp_nou.jpg Biggest Sports stadium in Europe Camp Nou
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 I had a funny feeling that would be the second stadium to go.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 I think the next stadium to go might just be obvious too, in fact, I could probably put together the next 10 picks and i'd be 90% right.
cr7 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 I had no intention of picking a manager/stadium until the end, but the early run ruined that plan. The stadium is of no matter to me, but I know who I want in charge. Short post again, sorry but iPod typing takes forever. Sir Matt Busby
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 It was between Shankly and Busby for me. I wasn't going to go with the manager until the end but someone jumped the gun, and, well, monkey see, monkey do.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 909 might as well go now, Jorge is in debt with picks.
Guest Report post Posted July 17, 2008 I know we're skipping Jorge, and there's really no doubt about what stadium I'm going to pick. Let's be real here. I wish we could just expand the ground and stay there. sigh
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 I love that photo of Anfield. I love watching Liverpool, especially on European nights, there's just no better place.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 Agreed. Even as a United supporter there's something unique about hearing You'll Never Walk Alone that you don't really get at any other ground. Anyway, I'm going to be away for over a week from tommorrow, so I'm probably going to have to send a giant list of picks to you Franchise, if that's okay. cr7 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 It was between Shankly and Busby for me. I wasn't going to go with the manager until the end but someone jumped the gun, and, well, monkey see, monkey do. I really didn't want to select a manager, but if I didn't then I would of had nothing left to choose from. When it comes to grounds, I've only been to four and one of those will be gone very shortly. So that leaves me with three that will still be around with my last pick.
Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2008 When it comes to grounds, I don't really think it matters much, unless the fans come with it and they don't support the team that the ground comes from but the team you've made. Then that would be interesting.
cr7 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2008 Exactly, that's why I'm going the sentimental route when it comes to picking a ground.
