Jaxxson Mayhem 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 I saw this tonight, and damn... it was so fucking good. I'll break it down in bullet points. Angelina Jolie is as hot as ever in it. Tons of action. Great plot. It's so good. There was one part of the movie where I went into awesomeness overload.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 It got a pretty good review in my local paper. I don't really like action movies very often...but I'll probably see it at some point.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 Great plot. Disappointed, but I'll still see it.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 Is it true Morgan Freeman is basically acting like Sam Jackson throughout the movie?
Jaxxson Mayhem 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 Is it true Morgan Freeman is basically acting like Sam Jackson throughout the movie? Yup. He even says "shoot this mothafucka."
Jaxxson Mayhem 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 Great plot. Disappointed, but I'll still see it. I was going to say "plot twist" but that would have ruined it for people. Yeah.... If you really want to see the movie, don't highlight the spoilers.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 It looks way to cheesy. I mean curving a bullet. Car flips with perfect assassinations. If I didn't know better this looked like a Michael Bay movie.
Jaxxson Mayhem 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2008 I like it the same way I liked Crank. It's good to have some over the top action sometimes.
Just John 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2008 This movie should've been a comedy all the way through. It was fun, but the attempts at serious plot or character development tended to slow it down.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 After reading the Wanted comic series I have absolutely no interest in this at all. The only thing it shares with the real Wanted is the name. Mark Millar will do anything for money.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 According to two people posting in response to Scott Keith's blog review of this movie, the graphic novel was horrible anyway.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2008 That was there opinion, I liked it a lot. I wanted to see it eventually made into a movie but now this thing has ruined that ever happening.
Craig Th 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 What's the big twist?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Is it the one from the comic where his father wasn't actually killed? Or did they cut him being the son of the world's greatest villain out too? Why is this movie even called Wanted!?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Ok, so I just read the plot on Wikipedia, and this sounds like a cool movie if it wasn't called Wanted. I know that nothing is every completely the same as a comic or a book, but this is NOTHING like the comic. The only thing it shares is the name and the name of the main character. I mean seriously, what the fuck? That's why I'm opposed to it. I know changes happen from print to big screen, but this is a completely different story. Just John 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 What's the big twist? 1. The guy who's killing all of the fraternity members is Wesley's father. 2. Sloan (Morgan Freeman) is the real bad guy. On an unrelated note: I thought the "loom chooses who should be killed" thing was a little ridiculous, but I really liked how it produced the names of every frat member... God only knows how many innocent civilians they killed with their wreckless car chases and that train incident. They were all pretty careless considering their motto is "Kill one, save a thousand." Steviekick 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 As a huge Millar fan, I still managed to enjoy the movie with all the changes from the original source. The main themes of the story were still there, and Wesley still struggles to make something of himself. Oh, and Morgan Freeman doesn't really ape or pretend to be SLJ. I didn't get that one bit, except for the "mother fucker" sequence. That said, it's a great violent action movie along the lines of Smoking Aces.
