Don't know what possessed me to pick Alabama this week, but I'm glad I did. Would have lost this week if I'd picked Georgia. I guess my sub-conscious mind thought the Dawgs were even more overrated than my conscious mind did.

I've started off this season better than I was anticipating or even expecting.

 

This is twice now that I've been ranked in the top 10. Hopefully I can keep that going.

Oh that ones gotta hurt. And I may be a life long Husky fan, and I went there for a year, but I'm not stupid enough to pick them.

 

So I beat a top ranked opponent, and I beat Bored. My season is complete!

 

I beat the undertaker. I mean underwriter!

The Monkey Man, ouch. Carnival, double ouch.

 

It was an ugly week and it's created a big shake up in the Top 10. Now logically you would think Mecca being ranked #2 last week and now one of only two unbeatens left would take top spot with Vampiro69's stunning loss. If you are using logic, then you don't understand the BCS! Mecca not only does not take over #1, he drops in the rankings due to a lackluster 6 for 14 performance. The plight of still fly has been documented the last couple of weeks and he finally gets a little bit of respect from the "voters" and rejoins the Top 10. Also Agent Bond34 thinks he's back in the Top 10 but he thought wrong!

 

The big winner of the week though is our new #1.

Can't complain about being #4. That's a pretty nice jump. Really, the only thing holding me back from being even higher is just missing a couple picks that I should have gotten right that hurt my overall pick total. I've actually gotten really lucky with my opponents thus far in that I've won all but one of my games, but I'm usually only winning by 1 pick every week, so my SOS is as strong as it can be without my record going down.

I must have misread then.

 

It's ok though, just gives me something to strive for.

Awesome. I was close last year but stumbled when I got there. How did I leap from #7 to #1? I don't know, the system is strange but it worked to my advantage, at least for one week.
