iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 Don't know what possessed me to pick Alabama this week, but I'm glad I did. Would have lost this week if I'd picked Georgia. I guess my sub-conscious mind thought the Dawgs were even more overrated than my conscious mind did.
AlwaysPissedOff 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 Man, I was down 0-3 on differing picks til Fresno, South Florida, BAMA~!, and Penn State pulled it out for me. RRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!!!

Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 I've started off this season better than I was anticipating or even expecting. This is twice now that I've been ranked in the top 10. Hopefully I can keep that going.
Guest Smues Report post Posted September 28, 2008 Washington (Smues) 8, Stanford (Bored) 8; Smues was supposed to pick U-Dub You're going to lose this week Oh that ones gotta hurt. And I may be a life long Husky fan, and I went there for a year, but I'm not stupid enough to pick them. So I beat a top ranked opponent, and I beat Bored. My season is complete! I beat the undertaker. I mean underwriter!
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 The Monkey Man, ouch. Carnival, double ouch. It was an ugly week and it's created a big shake up in the Top 10. Now logically you would think Mecca being ranked #2 last week and now one of only two unbeatens left would take top spot with Vampiro69's stunning loss. If you are using logic, then you don't understand the BCS! Mecca not only does not take over #1, he drops in the rankings due to a lackluster 6 for 14 performance. The plight of still fly has been documented the last couple of weeks and he finally gets a little bit of respect from the "voters" and rejoins the Top 10. Also Agent Bond34 thinks he's back in the Top 10 but he thought wrong! The big winner of the week though is our new #1. Bored Championship Series Rankings thru Week 5 1. Miami of Ohio - Hawk 34 2.45 2. Ball State - Vampiro69 3.3 3. Alabama - AlwaysPissedOff 3.75 4. Georgia Tech - iggymcfly 4.9 5. Indiana - Tzar Lysergic 5.4 6. Nebraska - Mecca 5.8 7. Ohio State - Gert T 7.0 8. Virginia - Edwin MacPhisto 7.3 9. Arizona State - still fly 8.3 10. Arizona - UZI Suicide 8.9 Other Receiving Votes: Fresno State (Agent Bond34), Kentucky (Danville Wrestling), N.C. State (AboveAverage484), San Diego State (Next USC #55)
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 Can't complain about being #4. That's a pretty nice jump. Really, the only thing holding me back from being even higher is just missing a couple picks that I should have gotten right that hurt my overall pick total. I've actually gotten really lucky with my opponents thus far in that I've won all but one of my games, but I'm usually only winning by 1 pick every week, so my SOS is as strong as it can be without my record going down. Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 Also Agent Bond34 thinks he's back in the Top 10 but he thought wrong! I must have misread then. It's ok though, just gives me something to strive for. Season is far from over.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 Awesome. I was close last year but stumbled when I got there. How did I leap from #7 to #1? I don't know, the system is strange but it worked to my advantage, at least for one week.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 I was so excited to have gone 5-1 in the differing matchups, I didn't even notice that I got every other game but one wrong. :hangs head in shame:
JHawk 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 An upset over #1? Maybe I should be using Oregon State instead of Kent State. I have no idea how I pulled that off this week when the ones that should have been obvious picks were losing all weekend long.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2008 I'm surprised at how cluttered the standings are with 3-2 or 2-3 teams... and WAC = Sssss.... Eeeee... Ccccc (Three teams at 4-1, Two teams at 3-2, Two teams at 2-3)
