NFL Week Four

Recommended Posts

I think its safe to assume with the action in this Browns/Bengals game that the winner of the Ravens/Steelers game tomorrow night is on the inside track to win the AFC North.

2 weeks ago I was home with no Ravens game and I got the shitty Bengals..WHY do the NFL GODS TORMENT ME SO?

Luckily I get to avoid Favremania by watching a pretty decent Chiefs/Broncos game.

EDIT: TD Cards. I would get much enjoyment if the Arizona came back and made a game of this.

The Broncos are just completely shitting the bed here against the Chiefs. This is unwatchable. It's a testament to how bad the Chiefs are that Denver is even in the game, only down 3 (but with the Chiefs in the red zone).

NFL.com is fucking up badly today on this Saints-49ers game.

It's making it hard to follow.

Apparently the Niners recovered a fumble, went 94 yards to the Saints 3. But now they're starting on the Niners 35. This after NFL.com acted like a 81-yard catch by Henderson was nullified, when it wasn't. Is it really that hard to get it right?

Oh, they actually started at the Niners 3, not the Saints 3 or the Niners 35. And there was a pass interference penalty that they added in 3 plays later.

Wow... How can the Packers look so terrible these past couple weeks after looking so good in weeks 1 and 2? At least last week, they lost to a superior team. There's no way they should be losing to a team led by Brian Griese.

As an interesting statistic, Brian Griese is now 4-0 against the Packers in his career. Green Bay historically does pretty bad in Tampa, but I don't even know where to begin with where this team is right now. Today had a lot of good Aaron Rodgers and a lot of bad as well; the first pick wasn't his fault, but the last two- including the gamebreaker with 2 minutes left- were definitely all him. I have no idea what was up with that injury either, pretty suspicious. And again for the second week in a row, the offensive line can't block for shit; the running game was non-existent and Rodgers was running for his life all day. At least the secondary, even with all the injuries, played pretty damn well again but we definitely need some help in the front seven. Trading Corey Williams doesn't look like such a smart idea in retrospect now, especially considering all we got in return was a 3rd string rookie QB.

Also on the downside of this was Favre's terrific game today against the lowly Cardinals, which is sure to bring out all the idiot BRING BACK FAVRE Wisconsinites out of the woodworks to storm Lambeau Field because Rodgers had a bad game today. Because, you know, Favre never had one in a crucial moment. Ever.

I still have nightmares of that Divisional Playoff game in St. Louis a few years back.

Oh that was just one of his INT snowballs- funny enough I was thinking earlier today, "Well if Rodgers is taking over for Favre and he's thrown one pick he's definitely throwing two more. No more, no less." Favre always had a plethora of 3 INT games for some reason. But no, this is always what I'll think of when I think of Brett Favre the Green Bay Packer.

Boldin had a guy jump onto his back and then got smashed full force with the front of an opposing helmet (think sandwich) to the point where the helmet/helmet shot sent Boldin's head snapping back. Just hope he didn't suffer a major spinal injury...

If that comes to mind before him running around the Superdome with helmet waving in hand, I feel bad for you.
