Yeah, I thought Body of Lies at number one was a no brainer.....apparently not.

Damn, City of Ember really bombed. I thought it looked pretty good from the previews, good toke it up and check it out movie for sure.

Blindness sure fell off the radar in no time also!

Heading to go see probably Blindness and Quarantine today later.....

Movies about the War on Terror are death at the box office. That's been proven time and time again

Yeah I guess I forgot that my Russell Crowe movie directed by Ridley Scott = Box Office Success theory was already disproved by A Good Year. Are those two going to do a movie every year? They're going to do a Robin Hood movie together apparently.

Also, the trailer looks really confusing, and really doesn't explain what the movie could possibly be about.

Blindness fell 75 percent. I guess no one saw it amirite high five

Figured Body of Lies would not open great. Big names, trailer doesn't look interesting at all though.

Expected more out of The Express, the touchy feely true sports movies usually do a little better

How to Lose Friends and Alienate People...26th place on week 2. Still playing on 1600+ screens. I thought it would bomb, but not like this

How?

The ads have been all over TV, and it's been #1 for two straight weeks. It's also on 3,000+ screens. Come on, Jerk.

I DVR most of my tv shows. Unless they're running ads for it on CNN or MSNBC, or the websites I visit, I won't see them.

Has anyone actually seen it yet? I'm going to it after the TNA ppv tonight.

Caught Blindness earlier today, what a waste of time that was.

It doesn't shock me that Body of Lies and The Express didn't do all that well. On one hand we have the ultra tired War on Terror/CIA genre that people are sick of seeing, and on the other hand a movie about a star football player that

dies of leukhemia.

Right now with the economy tanking horribly people need a bit of a fun pick me up at the movies, and something silly like the Chihuahua movie will fare well.

Aiming a little high on Sex Drive there Bob.

It's been a few months since any teen sex comedies have come out. Pepole are looking for mindless entertainment to distract from Wall St and the election.

W. is probalbly going to really underpreform for the same reason.

Well, if you pretend "College" didn't get released. Which I think a lot of people are. And Sex Drive looks like it is on the same level as College, only Seth Green shows up. Plus Infinite Play list got released with Superbad star power and that didn't do that well either. It feels like a lull in that genre.

Teens get their crazy movie next week with High School Musical 3. Granted it's not a teen sex comedy but as much as I hate to say this, High School Musical is the Grease of this generation and it going to make serious bank.

Not Hairspray...which was the Hairspray of this generation.

And yeah, W. looks really really stupid.

Or maybe because it looks really, really awful?

Ehh.... I like that it looks like a dark comedy instead of a serious film at this point in history. Given my political bias, Stone+W=$9 spent opening weekend. 63% freash on Rottentomatoes so far.
