Broward83 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 welp, need Mizzou / UT to turn into a barn-burner in the last 15mins to get the win. Come on defense, take a seat and let 'em light it up.

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 Texas needs to start putting in their 3rd stringers. Doesn't matter, Missouri couldn't stop them either. Need VT to make this comeback.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 Thankfully, I won't need the tiebreaker, as this game looks to be going way over 62. Two more wins to get bowl-eligible.
Broward83 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 ...and with that TD from Chiles to Buckner, I'll pick up the win even if BC lets Tech come back to win. Good to get back to .
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 ...and with that TD from Chiles to Buckner, I'll pick up the win even if BC lets Tech come back to win. Good to get back to .500 Not so fast my friend. A VT win means you lost both head to head games to me. Which means the tiebreaker doesn't matter. However, that comeback isn't happening.

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 I don't mind a defeat, I just hate that it came from garbage time scores. Edit: It's over now. Looks like the top 4 teams go down tonight and to make matters worse, we no longer have a winless team.

Bored 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 Bad week to be in the Top 10 as they go a combined 1-7 vs. non-Top 10 players. Now sometimes when this happens it actually doesn't lead to much change in the rankings as you'd expect but that is not the case this week as we have probably our biggest shake up of the year. For once beating #1 actually results in someone jumping to #1 as iggymcfly edged out Mecca for the top spot as those two now have a small cushion from the rest of the Top 10. The big winners besides iggy this week were UZI Suicide, by way of attrition, and AboveAverage484, who had his second straight big week. The biggest losers ended up being Vampiro69, who dropped five spots, and Edwin MacPhisto who couldn't even get a "vote" after handing Obi Chris Kenobi his first ever win. Going to get very interesting these next few weeks as we have a huge glut of players sitting at 5-3. And hey there's no more unbeaten (or winless) teams left. Saved me $50 again!!!! Bored Championship Series Rankings thru Week 8 1. Georgia Tech - iggymcfly 2.85 2. Nebraska - Mecca 3.0 3. Arizona - UZI Suicide 5.55 4. N.C. State - AboveAverage484 5.85 5. Alabama - AlwaysPissedOff 7.2 6. Miami of Ohio - Hawk 34 7.35 7. Ball State - Vampiro69 7.8 8. Indiana - Tzar Lysergic 8.4 9. Fresno State - Agent Bond34 9.45 10. Florida - Urban Warfare 9.9 Other Receiving Votes: Arizona State (still fly), Boston College (HarleyQuinn), Miami (Spaceman Spiff), Syracuse (CanadianChris)
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2008 Whoo hoo!!! I thought I'd make a decent jump in the rankings this week since I got quite a few picks right in addition to winning the H2H, but I didn't think there was any way I'd actually past Mecca for first. Pretty amazing that fictional Georgia Tech managed to outshine the real Georgia Tech this week who just took over first place in the Coastal division with the win over Clemson and Va. Tech's loss to BC. Georgia Tech: Orange and Bored Bowl bound baby.
