Psycho Penguin Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Washington has a home game vs. Utah and a road game at Miami (which I am debating on going, it's either that or VT/Miami football). I expect a split.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 9, 2008 Report Posted November 9, 2008 Victory!!!!!! Finally Clippers win their first game. I really think this team can be good they just have to stay healthy. They are 1-6 but with the starting line-up not having played together at all until the fourth game and having played the Lakers twice, Utah twice and the Rockets things are not as bad as they look.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Somebody break up the Hawks! At this point, they should still be undefeated going into the Boston game.
Ripper Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Losing Josh Smith is going to hurt though. he is out for at least 2 weeks. He has sorta been a monster this year. But hey, the Hawks are undefeated, the Falcons are 6-3....wow...gotta say, didn't see this coming.

PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Apparently Chauncey took Rip's jumpshot with him when he left for Denver. Dude's shot 12-48 in the last three games
Guest Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Tonight's game is going to be great. If the Hornets can't stop us, nobody can.
alfdogg Posted November 12, 2008 Author Report Posted November 12, 2008 Also, the 6-0 Hawks at the 7-1 Celtics tonight. And Greg Oden is supposed to be back tonight for Portland.

And the Thrashers are desparately trying to not be picking in the top 5...again.
Matt Young Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 The Lakers are making the Hornets their bitches, 51-30 at halftime.
Ripper Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 The Hawks are still hanging with the Celtics despite Josh Smith not playing and Zaza going out in the first half with a shoulder injury. Team is REALLY thin in the front court now, having to move Marvin Williams over to the 4, but they are up on late in the third.
Matt Young Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Well, despite getting blown out in game 7, the Hawks did take the Celtics the distance in the playoffs. They seem to play well against Boston.
Ripper Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 The refs have decided to take over the game in the 3rd quarter. Calling touch fouls all over the place. They let them be aggressive the first half and now in the 3rd, you can't get near each other.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 How's Mike Woodson doing this year, Rip? Seems decent for an undefeated team. Greg Oden with 2 points in like 10 minutes through the 3rd right now. I think Blazer fans are starting to get antsy for him to start showing something.
Ripper Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 How's Mike Woodson doing this year, Rip? Seems decent for an undefeated team. Greg Oden with 2 points in like 10 minutes through the 3rd right now. I think Blazer fans are starting to get antsy for him to start showing something. The play of Flip Murray and Maurice Evans are giving him something extra that he didn't trust last year. I say trust instead of have, because he had a bench, he just didn't know how to manage minutes. This year, he isn't as robotic when it comes to making subs, he is using a 9 man rotation. He is diong a much better job. I don't know if I attribute that to him or his new assistants after all the rest of them left in the offseason, but They are a better looking team no doubt. I also think hiring Mark Price as the shooting coach has done wonders from the team. BTW, Dwight Howard has 28 points and 16 rebounds in the 3rd quarter. Thats...kinda sick.
Brett Favre Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 The Knicks with a Franchise record 19 3s beat the Grizzlies 132-103.
alfdogg Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Posted November 13, 2008 Pacers get a nice win in New Jersey in a game plagued by injuries. No Granger, Dunleavy, or Murphy for us, no Devin Harris for the Nets. T.J. Ford's last three games: 18.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists
Ripper Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Game tied at 99 with 29 seconds to go in Boston.
Ripper Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 WOW. Big three by Marvin Williams to give the hawks a one point lead, then Pierce hits a fall away jumper to put the celtics back up one. Hell of a game. Boston ends the Hawks win streak, but man, hell of a game. Nothing to hang their heads about losing by one missing Josh Smith and Zaza Pachulia.
CanadianChris Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Hornets made a hell of a run as expected, coming back to within 3 with 90 seconds left, but Kobe knocked down a killer 3 as the shot clock expired and it looks like the Lakers will hold on to win.
JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 A little scary towards the end, but a great win for the Lakers tonight, especially on the back end of a back to back. Offense has been a little shaky at times, but this new commitment to defense has added a new wrinkle to this team. Hands down the best team in the West.
alfdogg Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Posted November 13, 2008 30 points, 19 boards, 10 blocks for Howard. First triple double involving blocks since Kirilenko in March '06.
alfdogg Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Posted November 13, 2008 Well, Matt Barnes hasn't cheap shotted a smaller player yet this year, I guess he was due.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Well, Matt Barnes hasn't cheap shotted a smaller player yet this year, I guess he was due. I think he was waiting for Artest to hit the bench.
PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 I was kinda surprised that Artest was nowhere to be found during that mess. He's really on his best behavior this year. Also, games like this make those nights when T-Mac goes 3-18 even sadder. Why can't you play like this all the time, Tracy??
Ripper Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Why are McGrady and Artest still in the game. Especially Tracy. I mean, its notlike he isn't injury prone or something. Actually, why the fuck is Grant Hill still in the game.
Psycho Penguin Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Lots of great games on tonight and I got stuck with Portland/Miami on TWO channels. Hooray TV contracts.
alfdogg Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Posted November 13, 2008 The Bulls signed Lindsey Hunter for the remainder of the season, non-guaranteed. I know the Bulls have some injuries in the backcourt, but that's kind of an odd signing.
Matt Young Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 Eh. He'll play 5-8 minutes a game to give Rose some rest. He'll produce very little.
