Guest Smues Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 I'd rather the lead guy of the network get fried. Fuck that guy.
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 HOW ABOUT THAT FORD F-150 COMMERCIAL WITH THE TEXT AP-PEARINGALLOVERTHEPLACE ?

Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Terrific run by Westbrook. Finally broke one loose. And wow, look at that down-field blocking on the replay.
naiwf Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 The Vikings are one of the most useless teams ever. Whoever wins Philly/NYG next week should make it to the SB.

Guest Vitamin X Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 What Kahran said. P-P-P-P-Panthers!
naiwf Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Like I said, whoever wins Philly/NYG next week should represent the NFC. If Philly beats the Giants I don't see them losing to the Panthers, and I think we'd beat them again if we just utilized the gameplan we employed in the 2nd half of the game from a couple of weeks ago.
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I don't think Minnesota is playing all that bad as much as it is that they're facing a much more talented team. The difference is at quarterback. Hell, if anything, I'd say Minnesota was overachieving right now to have kept it so close for as long as they did.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 and their season ends on a whiffed snap. How Bears of them.
strummer Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 so it's Raven/Titans Chargers/Steelers Cardinals/Panthers Eagles/Giants
naiwf Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 I wanted the road teams to win yesterday and the home teams to win today, so of course it went the other way.
Slayer Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Second straight playoff loss to the Eagles now, this is getting rather frustrating now... Second straight year of an NFC (teams I want to see the l)east divisional playoff game Save me, Carolina
garfieldsnose Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Thank goodness for Brian Westbrook. Our defense could be better than the year we went to the Super Bowl. At least when Jim Johnson says that, I'll believe him.
Kinetic Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 Things I observed while watching the Vikings today: 1. Jared Allen was worth everything they gave up to get him. Not just from a playmaking standpoint, but as an energy guy that hypes up the rest of the defense. Not to be a broken Marvin or anything, but this is exactly what Tampa was missing during that horrible four-game stretch at the end of the year. 2. Tarvaris Jackson isn't the answer at QB. Guy could be a pretty good backup, but I don't think he's capable of taking the next step and becoming a legit NFL starter. 3. Adrian Peterson is a really streaky player. At times, I felt like they would have been better off keeping Chester Taylor in the game. Is Taylor a free agent after this season? He really should be the primary back somewhere in the league.

I believe he was the primary back in Baltimore (or at least served as a third-downer to Jamal Lewis), but not nearly as well utilized as he could be. He actually has a 4.3 YPC average for his career, so you make a good point.
Spaceman Spiff Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 So, anyway, great season by the Dolphins. Way, WAY, better than I ever could have imagined (I told friends I'd take 5, maybe 6 wins before the season started). I didn't think they had much of a chance against Baltimore today, but it was still disappointing to see it go down like it did, with Chad throwing too many picks. Defense didn't do that badly, if only the offense could have avoided those turnovers in Baltimore territory (as well as giving the Baltimore offense short fields to work with), they may have had a shot. Hopefully, they are able to build on this season next year, and not pull a Jacksonville-in-2008 season.
