theone Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 awful ending to the last show of the year
cd213 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Good thing for the Rumble itself. I have no care to see Cena/JBL again.
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Whatever happened to HBK not laying down for anybody? Is this rhetorical or...?
theone Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Good thing for the Rumble itself. I have no care to see Cena/JBL again. between the two they know a total of ~20 wrestling moves
garfieldsnose Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I was expecting JBL to bounce off the ropes for the clothesline and HBK superkick him. Good ending, though.
Psycho Penguin Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I can't believe they actually did a fantasy booking ending.

The Truthiness Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 That was a great ending the heat was insane.

PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I miss the romance already.
NYU Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Cut it out. Next person to make a petty, unfunny remark about this feud I know nothing about gets a warning.
garfieldsnose Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 How can you not know about HBK and JBL's feud? Or lackthereof, I might add. I don't know.
NYU Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Ah the wit. Let me elaborate. I don't care about who is blocking mellowjoyful, whether theone is a pot or a kettle, or anything else. Take it to the bottom of the board if there's a personal issue here.
bob_barron Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Good thing for the Rumble itself. I have no care to see Cena/JBL again. between the two they know a total of ~20 wrestling moves Not having a deep moveset does not make you a bad wrestler. It's knowing what to do with the moves you know that counts
garfieldsnose Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 John Cena doesn't need a moveset to be entertaining. theone, you probably weren't around when most of this was said, but Cena is about as over as you can get since the days of The Rock and Stone Cold, and they had a limited moveset as well. Knowing a bunch of moves doesn't make you a great commodity. Look, mic skills, and to a lesser extent, ring ability, is what the wrestlers of today are graded on.

It's knowing what to do with the moves you know that counts but cena IS a bad wreslter with a shallow moveset...he's this generations hogan
garfieldsnose Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Surely if you were in charge of a huge company, you wouldn't get rid of the number one guy who is bringing in the most money, would you?

bob_barron Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Hogan was a great mouth and marketing tool, but a terrible wrestler...but thats entirely offtopic... No, being a good wrestler is all about being able to have the crowd in the palm of your hands during your matches. Hogan accomplished that. He knew when to make his comebacks, when to sell for the heel and how to do the little things. Good wrestler.
foleyfanforever88 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 There is a difference between entertainer and wrestler.
bob_barron Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Isn't being a professional wrestler about working a match that sells tickets and entertains the fans?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 There is a difference between entertainer and wrestler. uh..not anymore!
The Truthiness Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Isn't being a professional wrestler about working a match that sells tickets and entertains the fans? No it's about flips, suplexes, MMA influence submission holds, stiff strikes, and more flips. You also have to be no taller then 5'11.
