2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 For a movie that opened average at best, "Yes Man" has held up surprisingly well. It wouldn't be a hit for Carrey but it's no longer the bust it was looking it would be. What I don't understand is how did BOLT cost 150 million dollars to make? How did Benjamin Button? I'm guessing actor fees and special effects which makes it make a little sense. But BOLT? Who the hell got the huge payday for that film?
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 Valkyrie is doing much better than anyone expected which I'm happy to see since it's a great movie.

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2009 What I don't understand is how did BOLT cost 150 million dollars to make? CGI films are expensive, and Disney spares no expense. The 3-D didn't help either. Plus, I'm sure Travolta and Cyrus aren't cheap. How did Benjamin Button? I'm guessing actor fees and special effects which makes it make a little sense. But BOLT? Who the hell got the huge payday for that film? That was all the special effects.

Looking at BOM though, this appears to be the first time in 5 years that they've done that.
