Shelton Benjamin outta f'in nowhere! Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 “He’s innocent until proven guilty,” Angle said. “As the leader of the Main Event Mafia, I am a huge fan of the Illinois style of politics. As such, Governor Blagojevich is welcome to join me and the entire Main Event Mafia at any and all TNA events in the future, and certainly is welcome to sell his seat with us should he choose not to accept our generous offer.” Even coming on the heels of the Sarah Palin debacle, i think this is hilarious. When the MEM decide you might be a good fit for their company, then you have sunk as far as humanly possible. SOURCE
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 These things were always fun until they went way too far and introduced Palin as a character. Hopefully there is no Blagojevich personality.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 The now former gov. of Illinois who was impeached and removed this week for trying to sell Obama's vacant Senate seat. It's a huge news story in the states.
Boner Kawanger Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 They should bring him in so he can sale West and Tenay's seats at the commentary table.
The Truthiness Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I can see why they're doing this, I mean, we see how terrific that whole Paliin gimmick got over.
Dobbs 3K Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 At least the whole thing seems very tongue in cheek this time. With the Palin thing, it almost sounded like they thought she had a realistic chance of showing up.
LuckyLopez Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 TNA does this stupid stuff and they always have. Before Palin it was Bobby Knight. Pacman, the Tennessee Titans, Brian Urlacher, that American Idol guy, Jonny Fairplay getting a contract, Toby Keith wrestling Jarrett, the Baseball Brawl gimmick... TNA are star fuckers craving media attention (which actually seems par for the course for wrestling promotions). I just tend to ignore this stuff and hope it doesn't lead to much more than a couple of stupid minutes on TV.
daileyxplanet Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Chris Rock is far greater a celebrity and he showed.
YourKock'sReallyGreat Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 What are the odds that they have a character based on him and call him BJ?
Silence Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 What are the odds that they have a character based on him and call him BJ? Which will be played by B.J. Whitmer, former ROH wrestler.
