Patty O'Green 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2009 Much respect to everyone for puttin IN DAT WORK! Thanks to everyone who wrote their HD memories, you did more than I thought, I didn't expect you'd actually find the exact moment and C&P for me. Really gnarly show, that shit was epic. Ya'll need to read it. Multiple times in fact! I'm pretty sure I left room for everything that's missing. If not then I'm an ass. Otherwise excellent show, and excellent job on making it to 300 of these things. When I started in 2003 I didn't expect myself to be here much more than a few months. So love and blessins to all helped make this possible and all who've written for the OAOAST. If we can get to a 1000 we'll be legends of the seas, mates! They'll sing our names in the songs of men from lands near and afar!

alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 Great job by everyone on their HD moments. Nice opening segment, as Moneymaker doesn't seem to have missed a beat since his showdown with Zack. And a feud with Ragdoll around the corner? Should be most interesting. at the "interview" with "Hector". I'm embarassed to admit that I didn't know the MGHC had broken up, but it's good to see them make up, for now. I thought Citizen Soldiers would actually win this one for a bit, but VICE steals it at the end. Good match. Terry's really earning his money with these interviews. Leon getting prepared for his match with Krista, but I'm surprised no questions from Josh about potentially meeting his stablemate at AngleMania. Oh well, those questions will come in time. The women's match was Classic Patty. Yes, the capital "C" is necessary. Great stuff. I wondered how the ME would be booked, as I didn't expect either person to lose to the other outright at this point in time. Either way, tremendous match. Looks like neither of these two have heard the last of Mr. Dick. MOTN: Close call, but I have to go with the Venice Beach Bunny Brawl. LOTN: "Call me crappy annoying girlfriend, or Jennifer Love Hewitt, if ya want, buuuuut I’m sort hoping she loses. Pissed off sex is like a gazillion times better than celebration sex." - Alix Maria Spezia
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2009 I have stuff to go into the episode, but they're limiting access at work right now, so it's been harder than usual. I'll get it in ASAP.
Patty O'Green 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2009 Smeltics fans stay getting cause they can't beat a real Lakers squad. Last year was a warmup while they took it like it was the US open. Kobe 09-12 MVP-Finals MVP-Champ lock Dr.Z came correct with it on this opening promo. Love the unhinged nature of Ragdoll playing off Teddy’s constant need to be in control. I don’t think anyone’s ever straight up stolen on Moneymaker like that with the AA. LOL@Joey Lawrence and Keanu. Blossom was a bad ass show unquestionably. Is that shit on dvd? I need that! Solid midcard match (that’s a good thing!) here by the 149. Foolish Bosley. Gettin rejected for a handshake ain’t alpha quality. Cash should be pickin up his teeth off the ground. I always forget what VICE stands for until the 149 reminds me with a match. KC is the gift that keeps on giving. Like herpes. But a whole lot better! This time he gave us a good promo that got into Leon’s head for his motivations and his mindset. You’d think things would be pretty good in the IC, but apparently all ain’t so rosy for Leon. It makes you want to see how things will play out with Bo and Zack being on a hot streak and Leon being the champ, but still feeling the need to prove himself. Effective tease for next week. Can’t have everything on the 300th show, you greedy bastard! I wonder what Leon will say about having to face his stable mate and his niece’s love interest at AM. Or he could lose to Spencer and not have anything to worry about! The Beach Bunny Brawl tested my love for writing entrances, son. That’s word. I’ll tell you why. Buffer’s part is a pain in the ass. I hate having to do that. Especially having to go find the weights for the guys. TONY My favorite HeldDOWN moments have been the times I hid in the towel hamper outside of the womens' shower! I've seen EVERY FEMALE TIT IN THIS COMPANY! VINNY Dude...seriously? TONY FUCK YEAH, DUMBASS! VINNY You're the dumbass! You just gave away your hiding space! You'll have to think of something else now. Human Resources bout to hit Tony T with that sexual harassment! The favorite moments were all cool, it was nice to take a ride through the past and see what happened way back when. I took a copout having just a Spencer promo, but had I done say Alix I would’ve picked her funtime in the USA adventure with Leon and NRG. Wow! All I have gots to say is that I’m shocked, just shocked, that the other 4 dudes in the DA put Alf out like that. That surprised me. Even Custer’s troops didn’t do him dirty like that. Of course they were getting slaughtered so were probably a bit busy. I have a feeling the DA’s wave of dominance is gonna continue whether Alf likes it or not. Maybe Alf will get together a team of his own to fight his former crew. Respect to Alfdogg for a big shocker on a big show. What a mainevent, WHAT a mainevent! I already heaped loads of praise on KC in PM form, anymore might make me look crazy creepish. I ain’t got time to sum up all the things I liked in this match. It captured Krista’s character perfectly, expressed the story of the match being in Krista’s hometown and Leon’s quest to prove himself, and had all the drama you could want. KC really got the feeling of the match and atmosphere down excellently. It lived up to all my expectations and managed to even surpass them. Definitely one I'll read again. Tony149 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2009 If this wasn’t the longest show in OAOAST history, it had to be close to it. And it’s not like a couple of matches were spread out over three posts or stuffed with filler, this was an epic show. Bravo to all. To think HD wasn’t even the A show until a year or two after it debuted is something. Zack turned it into a juggernaut during the brand extension days, leading to the merger with a dying Intense Zone show (we only had like 3 or 4 active writers compared to much more on HD). Very classy HD 300 logo, although apart of me would’ve laughed like crazy had we used KC’s version instead. I prefer the old color scheme to the new purple and yellow one. Yellow isn’t a very good color for text (gotta highlight to read). Hot opening segment with hilarious use of Joey Lawrence and Keanu. As Patty said, all the HD moments throughout the night was a fun look back. It doesn’t feel like that long ago that the OAOAST first opened. The fan interview had me LMAO. Really enjoyed the other celeb interviews as well, especially the Kristin Dunst one. MGHWC Explode: Jive Soul Bro is a great song and video, politically incorrect it may be. I won’t lie though, I don’t think I remember Esther on OAOAST TV before. Then again, my OAOAST memory is bad so maybe she has. But I’m happy to see the HWC back together. Leon’s got his priorities straight concentrating on his title defense against Krista. And I loved the Vegas odd makers bit with Cole somehow concluding Krista is the favorite. Patty says Spencer’s HD moment was a copout but I thought it was perfect. It got him across as a selfish prick. You can’t fault a man for wanting fame and fortune. The certain blonde in Bo’s interview is the newest Nerdly girl no doubt! Vince Beach Bunny Brawl: Cameos galore, including Jivin’ JR. I’d have mark for a M.O.M. appearance. But shit was this awesome. The “death” scene was cute. Of all the HD moments, Alf had the best. But having feedback this the day after the Lakers beat the Celtics, it’s Patty who is laughing right now. The Spock! OMG! The TT/BB segment had me in tears. From an LOL moment to one of HOLY SHIT. Alf getting kicked out of his own group was a major shocker. I’m psyche to see where that angle goes. World title match, Krista vs. Leon: Kick ass ME. This had an AM feel to it. The time out spot was genius and for a match to end on a DQ it was really well done. Normally that type of finish (in real life) leaves you somewhat deflated, but it left me wanting to see more of all 4 if that makes sense. MOTN: Krista Isadora Duncan vs. Leon Rodez Quote of the Show: “Without me keeping this company afloat with my wisdom a peon and a grunt like Zack would be working deathmatches for Taco Bell coupons in a community center in Des Moines.” -- Theodore Moneymaker LOL Moment of the Show: Tony pulls out a large trashbag, then pulls out a towel. TONY Alix's vag, right here. Tony shoves the towel into his face, and takes a deep sniff. TONY Ahhhhhhhhhhh. LUTHER ...this nigga is crazy.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2009 If this wasn’t the longest show in OAOAST history, it had to be close to it. What about all those PPVs with 14 matches on them we used to have a couple of years ago? Anyway, when I make a promise, I deliver a week later. And here was me thinking the Angle Awards didn't matter. Oh, wait, they don't? Okay. But it made a nice prop for the Ragdoll stuff. Made total sense for it to be Ragdoll, yet not the guy you'd neccessarily have expected if you weren't in on the ideas like I was so I'm just guessing on other people's thoughts maybe I'm right maybe not who knows. Should be an interesting feud, nice change of pace from Moneymaker's usual feuds. The grudge match of the century gets cancelled! People would be demanding refunds if I hadn't done such a good job of making MGHWC look worthless in the past 6 months. I did half wonder if Patty had abandoned the makeover when he started splitting them, oh me of little faith. I thought Tony's tag match was one of his best matches for a while. Which doesn't look like as much of a compliment as it sounded in my head. But it's supposed to be, honest. The non-handshake was a refreshing twist. Match had a good flow to it. Obviously tag matches are Tony's thing, so we'll call this Vintage Tony. Very enjoyable. The Terry/Dicaprio skit was amazing. As I told Patty, Spencer's promo pretty much did my work for me without even having to ask. It was as if he read my mind. Which is slightly unnerving, but if it gets my work done for me then read away! The Beach Bunny Brawl was pretty amazing too. Krista/Malaysia was like the craziest (well, not the craziest, trust me, but by OAOAST standards) erotic fanfic ever. This had it's moments. First off, Jivin' JR might be the most bizarre and greatest thing we've ever done. Secondly, Patty absolutely nailed Melody and made me feel bad for not being able to write her that well. And third, Duncan guest commentary equals many bonus points. Oh, fourth, facepalm. Nothing funnier. Not sure about the electricity finish, but hey, lots of fun regardless. The TT segment was just crazy, simple as that. I'll be honest, I kinda had a hunch about Alf getting kicked out a little while ago. Very well done anyway. Should be a great run-in to Anglemania with that angle. I hate entrances. Unless Patty writes them for me. MOTN: VICE vs. Citizen Soldiers L(s)OTN: COLE Who’s ever heard of wearing combat boots to a beach? MAYA Actually the German youth group De Kinstien, known for outfitting themselves in aggressive military wear, is often seen wearing combat boots to the beach. COLE I like Sponge Bob! Do you like Sponge Bob, little girl? MAYA Your ignorance shames the broadcast profession. But most importantly, it shames yourself.
