The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 Did they ever make a movie out of maus? That would probably still be closer now that I think about it...nevermind.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 Okay, forget I said anything, jesus H...League looked good, good premise, good comic series, came off retarded and hokey. I get that same vibe from Watchmen. I'm sure I'd appreciate it more if I read the book, but alas this is where I'm at.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 Maus would be a really interesting graphic novel to adapt.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2009 Sin City was a better movie than Watchmen though I'm sure some would disagree with that opinion. It's also unbelievably faithful to the comics down to the last panel. Watchmen is the sort of graphic novel that would make a great HBO miniseries.
Special K 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2009 Ha ha, I'm not busting your balls Lushus. Just saying, Watchmen has its problems but League was SO bad. You know speaking of, that makes Sean Connery share the honor (with Uma Thurman) of being in TWO of my least favorite movies ever: Avengers and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. And shit, they're both based on Alan Moore comics! That's... something.
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2009 But The Avengers was a TV Show...
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2009 To get back to Taken for a minute, I thought the trailer was awesome for that movie. One of the best trailers in a long time actually, since it took a movie I hadn't heard of and by the time it was over I definitely wanted to see it. It sets up the premise nicely with her being kidnapped, shows us Neeson's kick ass phone speech promising acts of horrible violence, but it shows us very little. I saw that trailer before The Day the Earth Stood Still and thought "Man, I wish they were showing me that movie instead of this."
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2009 I could listen to Liam Neeson threatening villians on the phone all day long.
