Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted June 28, 2002 I might I actually have liked that match if it wasn't for Cole. Cole: (Girly Voice) Ruthless Agression They better fire his ass soon. He sucks. I wish it were a bit longer, but it was a good match. Hopefully Angle didn't just carry Cena. I heard some good stuff about the kid, but I also heard good things about Lesnar before he came, so..... Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 28, 2002 *Waits for Anglesault* come on, those 2 compliment each other pretty well. Even Sault will like this one.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Did that finish look like a shoot to anyone else? It looked like Kurt REALLY hooked him. He probably did...it was a great amateur wrestling move. Doesn't make it a "shoot" in the main sense of the word, though...just realistic.
Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Prototype (John Cena) was awesome in that match with Kurt. But still pales in comparison the the X Championship match of last night.
Guest The Superstar Report post Posted June 28, 2002 I'll take a line from CRZ: "Faarooq, Rikishi, Kidman...thanks for showing up tonight!"
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Cena/Angle was a solid match for a curtain jerker, very solid. However I tend to disagree with some people. I didn't think it was a "great" match. In large part because Cena looked a bit green (understandable) and the match wasn't that long. A promising start for John Cena though. I hope the WWE continues to at least open their shows with good wrestling matches.....
Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Cena looks like a long lost Von Erich brother. Anyway, I remember a couple years ago seeing a special on Rick Bassman's UPW on the TLC channel or something like that. I remember Prototype being on it. He came off as a real nice guy. They went grocery shopping with him, and he bought 7 dozen eggs. It seemed a bit odd, but apparently, the guy eats a dozen eggs every morning for breakfast along with a host of other things. It was pretty crazy.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Pretty cool how they're introducing Cena tonight I think.
Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Prototype (John Cena) was awesome in that match with Kurt. But still pales in comparison the the X Championship match of last night. Yeah, but, that's to be expected. Since, ya know, NWA wants to get over via WRESTLING and not TALKING. Imagine if they were on TV every weeks.
Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted June 28, 2002 "Extremely hard to beat is Chuck & Billy" - Tazz Well if they had any other Tag Teams on Smackdown! or a challenge from the RAW brand maybe Chuck & Billy wouldn't be champs...

Compared to the shit that passes for wrestling lately, though, it was outstanding.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Did Cole just say that Valbowski "did VERY well in the KOTR tournament"?! I guess getting pinned in the quarterfinals by the guy who lost to the guy who lost in the finals counts as doing "very well" in Cole's bizarre little world. Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Atleast they're establishing Billy and Chuck as unbeatable champs ... right?

Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted June 28, 2002 THat tag match was better than I thought it was going to be. A decent ** effort, which is pretty good considering its the WWE tag division and its television, which limits the wrestlers on time.
Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted June 28, 2002 It probably would have been better in my eyes if I didn't dislike Bob Holly so much... Man is he a waste of blood. Right next to X-Pac and Cheex
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Cena impressed me. But why didn't he get the puch instead of Brock? Serously, that one match has made me a bigger fan of Cena than anything Brock has ever done. Plus, Cena is the only guy yet to make Ruthless Aggression sound cool. A decent ** effort, which is pretty good considering its the WWE tag division and its television, which limits the wrestlers on time. Especially considering all the participants. Maybe Val and Holly can get over in the tags atleast.
Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Plus, Cena is the only guy yet to make Ruthless Aggression sound cool. Yeah, made sence for the up and comer to use it. I wish Cena had Brock's moster push ... actually, i hope he gets Angle's God push.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted June 28, 2002 i woudlnt mind a Val/Holly team but I thought they were going for an Orton.Val team. Eh.
Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Ah the T&A segment... At least it isn't Nidia out there... Oh goodie... Knoble is passing off Nidia to Tajiri as incentive... Yikes!
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Serously, Out of all the newcomers to come from the OVW this years, I would have to say Cina has impressed me the most. I mean, sure, he only said two words on the mic, but he didn't stutter, and he can wretsle pretty good. If only they'd give Conway and Orton more time, I'd be happy
Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 28, 2002 i woudlnt mind a Val/Holly team but I thought they were going for an Orton.Val team. Eh. difference, to me, is that Val, under his current caracter, has alot less to offer than Orton does - How sad is THAT?
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Tajiri rules the fucking earth, and Knoble ain't far behind these days. Their match tonight should be fun, if the oh-so-cruiser-friendly WW(F)E let dem little guys go for more than three minutes.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Who elese turned off of Smackdown after the angle match? Cause I'm watching that fox show, with good storylines lol.

Guest Blue Bacchus Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Well when your gimick is that of a porn star, what can you bring to the table and make believable?
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Actually yeah, Val just doesn't have "it" anymore, like he had in 98. I don't wanna sound mean but am I the only one who thinks they should bring up like all the good ovw?hwa talent and just flush out the midcard? They could easly get rid of rikishi, farooq, val, etc. without it causing damage to ratings. Orton and Cena would be a good tag team too.
Guest Nezbyte Report post Posted June 28, 2002 Well when your gimick is that of a porn star, what can you bring to the table and make believable? His viginettes used to entertain the hell out of me. But, meh, he's a damn good wrestler stuck in a bad gimmick.
