Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 so here's what we have. 1. after 3 weeks of the same triangle interview, Angle is inserted into title match. everyone hopes to god that Angle wins. however, this is unlikely. 2. Hogan comes out next week and calls Angle bald. Hogan and Edge feud with Angle and Jericho. personally, I'd take 1.

It's like "We hate America... let's run in on the Undertaker!" I hope that happened off camera.

Maybe UT beating Angle to save Rocky's heat? Hogan and Edge are just transition champs to some Canadian team (Storm/Christian?).

Kurt will wind up feuding with Team Canada and have an awesome match with Lance Storm. (Didn't Storm model the new Angle T-Shirt?) I wish Kurt would stay heel though, he's getting the Lex Luger syndrome of multiple turns in short time spans, plus his "dork" image doesn't work as well for a babyface.

Then, the rookie gets his heat back and beats up Jericho after the match. Someone help me with this. If the WWE has any intention of at least trying to resign Jericho they need to take him off tv and negotiate. At this rate he won't be worth very much and will be stuck in the midcard for the rest of his career. It seems like the WWE is doing the old "He's getting ready to leave and go to WCW so let's de-value him as much as possible". Now I know WCW isn't around, but that's just what it seems like.

I will admit i'm starting to lose track of the heels. we know Rock is a face. Taker was a heel up untill Monday, he's fighting an alleged heel (Angle) but also a face (Rock). Angle, a heel, helps Taker, a face, then gets chokeslammed in a segment that might not even be on tv in the first place. damn you Undertweener!

Maybe it's because I am Canadian, but I really hate the anti-America angle. It's been done before, it can do lasting damage to a fan's reception of the wrestlers, and if the US is going to pick an enemy nation, Canada?!?! Come on. Maybe they can team with Ludvig Borga, the evil Icelander, and capitalize on years of Iceland/American hostility. The end of the Cold War really fucked things up for easy villains. It's too risky to have an Afghani or Saudi Arabian villain, so let's go with the nation we can insult without being accused of being racist, hating their religion, etc. Sorry, I'm ranting. I will stop now. But how about this: Canadian heels are challenged by Canadian faces or Canadian/American duo who want them to show some class? Arrrgh...I don't know. I'll stop now.
