Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Spinebusters could have been decent a couple of years ago before they became cliche and overused. Austin picked one up, Rock, HHH. You'd see them at least twice a week, Spinebusters galore. His little sit-out powerbomb is cool, but not devastating enough to awe you or be a finish. Perfect-Plex is history.
Guest M Nyland Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 what if he was able to hook both legs in a perfect-plex (is that even possible) and then after the suplex he can just roll over into the pin or do the bridge pin like that...

Guest M Nyland Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 as opposed to all the other colors of Thunder....though I always thought it that the color of thunder was CLEAR
Guest Anglesault Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 what if he was able to hook both legs in a perfect-plex (is that even possible) and then after the suplex he can just roll over into the pin or do the bridge pin like that... No, that would look clumsy.
Guest M Nyland Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 well I never said Val wasn't clumsy......he DID almost have his thing chopped off...
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Three words. Super Fisherman's Buster. Bleh. Damn WWE. -Shiro
Guest Some Guy Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 You what's sad? I didn't even realize that SD! was in Boston last night. I wouldn't have gone anyway because we never get good TV shows here, but for a big fan like myself to not even know they were in town shows the condition of WWF right now.
Guest LJSexay Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Val is a terrific worker and no, he does not have the same gimmick he has had for 4 years. He's more of a revamoped Rick Rude nowadays, and I don't see WHY people bitch about his gimmick, when all he;s done for weeks is wrestle, AND in good matches as well. Jesus...
Guest Black Tiger Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 I give Hogan and Edge a month, a month and a half at the longest, as champs. The same situation happened in 1999. Rock 'n' Sock were dominating everyone so they booked the stupid loss to Hardcore and Crash via HHH run in AND Mankind getting pissed at Rock. after being treated like Jobber bitches for the last couple months and the way they won the titles the Holly's had NO heat, so they put them on two over singles wrestlers until they can find somewhat decent champs. Billy and Chuck got stale and they had no one to convincingly beat them so they use two over singles wrestlers who also have their own thing going until WWE finds a better team. AS, in April, didn't I say how Angle working with Storm could do wonders to elevate him?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Didn't Jazz do a super fishermanbuster at WM?
Guest TheyCallMeMark Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Val Venis is one of the best workers on the roster right now. If they had given him Edge's push I think I'd be alot happier.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 If they gave FAAROOQ the Edge push I would be happier.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 I have seen the first hour of Smackdown and here are a few odd tidbits: Rikishi gets a USA chant during his match; I didn't think he was from the US (I might be wrong..) John Cena is from Boston (didn't know that) Hogan comes out to REAL AMERICAN! The crowd was going absolutely nuts too.
Guest GenerationNever Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Yes, my dream is finally coming true: an end to heels and faces. I would really love for Val to be more Rick Rude-esque, but he needs his old name back. Val Venis has the same initials for his name, just like Rick Rude. You also can't forget his hands behind his head hip shaking.
Guest GenerationNever Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Well, at least they aren't calling the Holly/Venis team "Hardcore Sex."
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Hour 2 Thoughts: Jericho vs Cena wasn't as long or as good as Angle Cena was last week. Jerichos Reverse sleeper move that he wins the match with is called the Flashback. The Nidia/Jamie Knoble get a trailer thing is hillarious. It has running water~! No Cruiserweight matches, bummer.. The title match redo fiasco..well its noticable to me, but unless you're looking for it, you'll probably miss it since it lasts about :10 or so. EDIT: BTW, upon examination of the footage, Taker TAPS OUT before the 3 count, so that opens the door for a rematch maybe?
