• Sonofabitch. I donated $10 for some fundraiser helping homeless animals, and this raffle was to use numbers from yesterday's "Big 4" state lottery. Two of my eight raffle numbers had "3" and "4" matching up, but that's it. Boo-urns.
• He wasn't checking out child porn. He was ... scouting.
A popular high school and college softball coach has been arrested on child pornography charges. Federal agents raided Mike Govig's La Vista home near 92nd and Harrison on Tuesday. Govig coached at Papillion-La Vista High School, winning eleven state championships. He was hired this summer as the assistant softball coach at Creighton University. Late Friday, Creighton fired him.
• My God is the lip-synching for "Monday Night Football" terrible. The players introducing their teammates is so off.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, facing protests and tabloid headlines calling him "evil" and a "madman," stirred debate Monday about free speech ahead of his appearance at Columbia University.
Good God what a joke. I can only pray that this wacko is just scouting out the best spot in America to let off a nuke. Hey, Ahmad-whatever, there's some primo real estate over in Berkley if you're interested.

Thousands of United Auto Workers walked off the job at GM plants around the country Monday in the first nationwide strike during auto contract negotiations since 1976.
