Dr. Mike Lano

:bonk:

Ask Bob Barnett. He can describe Lano much better than I can.

Ask Barnett about what Lano did at Louie Spicolli's funeral service.

You could also e-mail Cornette and ask about the time Lano booked him in Japan without his knowledge.

Trish Stratus

Decent US-level women’s worker.

Jazz

Good US-level women’s worker

Madusa

Overrated

Traci Brooks

Capable worker, who can fill out a Santa’s Helper outfit quite nicely

Gail Kim

Spotty worker.

Jackie Gayda

I think she drives a hummer.

Christy Hemme

She had charisma and fire. Her Playboy pictures made her look terrible, though.

Melina

Pass.

Torrie Wilson

No thanks.

Stacy Keibler

Sable, but with long legs instead of big breasts and also not as much of a cunt.

Dawn Marie

DM was a great valet.

Victoria

I hope she gets her knee done before it’s too late.

Maria

I hear she got Punk’d recently.

Candice Michelle

Skankasorus

Ashley Massaro

If you think she looks bad in her Maxim pictures, then look at her Playboy pictures.

You know, it really fucking sucks that you're stealing heat away from me. I just had to say that. Once upon a time, some in the WWE folder were called RRR Clones and yes-men as erroneously as people -INCLUDING ME!!!- are being called HTQ yes-men. This is so very wrong. People used to be willing to have themselves banned if it meant I would be banned as well. THAT'S HATRED! I put in more time here, dammit! I have tenure! I deserve that heat! BAH!!!

Akira Hokuto

Hokuto was probably a little below Manami in terms of talent but I think was a better personality and heel, so they're overall on equal footing. Their 1995 match, I think in August of that year, is still one of my favorite singles matches.

Manami Toyota

Toyota was a tremendous worker in her prime, but I don't think she got the praise she deserver, purely because she was female, and women's wrestling has, sadly, never received its due in the general wrestling community.

Ayako Hamada

I've not seen anything of Hamada, but that's something I'm looking to rectify, as I am interested to see what she can do.

The Destroyer

I've not seen a lot of The Destroyer, but what I have seen tells me he was a great worker and I wish I could see more.

Koji Kanemoto

Kanemoto is a natural heel. A great worker who can combine that with dickish mannerisms that make you scream for the babyface to kick his ass, Kanemoto is probably just below Liger when it comes to status in cruiserweight wrestling.

Jushin Liger

Liger is one of the pre-eminent cruiserweight wrestlers of all-time. At his peak, combined matwork and aerial moves to be one of the most exciting wrestlers of his day. Age and injuries slowed Liger down, and so he has had to rely more on psychology, timing and picking his spots, but that hasn’t made him less entertaining, just entertaining in a different way.

I was half-expecting for that rant to end with "Don't you know WHO I AM?!? I AM NETWORK BAH GAWD!!!"

Curt Hennig

Hennig was a great worker and was able to make just about anybody look better than they actually were. Unfortunately, part of that ability was down to his bumping, which ended up shortening his career.

Bad News Allen

I’ve only seen Bad News in the WWF, and he seemed ok. He would have made a great heel champion.

Ken Shamrock

Ken was a really good fighter in his day, but, as TUF 3 showed, Ken has almost a complete inability to move with the times. As a wrestler, Ken could have been so much more than he was, but he fell victim to WWE’s need to force him to fit into their mold.

Chris Jericho (In the WWF)

I hate thinking about Jericho’s WWF tenure because I always get disappointed and frustrated with how so much potential got squashed because of Hunter’s ongoing quest to snuff out any and all potential threats to his spot.

DX

Never a fan of the gimmick or the people behind the gimmick.

Rick Rude

Rude was a good worker, but people overrate him a lot, especially since he died. Rude had tremendous heel charisma and could bump like a madman, but he had a limited repertoire and tended to bring matches to a halt if they went longer then 15:00.

Chyna

Ugh.

Scott Steiner

Steiner was a pretty good worker before going overboard with the vitamins. Everything that made Steiner a great in-ring worker was taken away by age and the needle, and while he developed a very believable bully persona, which was believable for a reason, it made Steiner very limited in what he could in matches.

Steiner had a lot of injuries as well which really slowed him down. Of course that's to be expected as he was all out wrestling machine.

When Steiner was at his peak he was a lot like Benoit in his intensity. His in ring wrestling actions had as much noticeable wow factor as any other wrestlers did if not more. Steiner was just mesmerising to watch. Charasmatic as well. Seing Steiner pump the crowd up after hitting his version of the Tiger Driver never got old.

King Booker

Am I one of the few people to hate the gimmick?

That's good. He's a heel.

There's a difference in being a heel to make people hate you and people not being able to stand you. For HTQ, it's the latter in regards to Booker's King gimmick.

Correct. If I happen to catch anything with King Booker, I instantly skip it.

Shouldn't the fact I said I hate the gimmick make it pretty obvious that it's not getting the right kind of reaction from me?

I had assumed that. I was just hoping for something else.

From what I've seen of your posts I don't understand why you're always so hard on Smackdown. They've been producing a lot of great wrestling this year. With charasmatic charactors to boot. The booking leaves something to be desired but hey; what else is new?

It was a shame that Scott's knees went flooey, because I thought he was pretty damned good, either as a single or with his brother. Some of the footage from when they were IWGP tag team champions was awesome.

I'd like an opinion on Rene Dupree.

Dupree was someone who he could do the mechanics and looked like he knew the basics but didn't know what to do beyond the basics. He was definitely someone who would have benefited tremendously from the old territorial system, because he was not ready for prime time when he was called up.

Giant Bernard

A decent big guy, Bernard is good enough that he can be carried to a strong match but only with a great worker. The worse the worker he is facing the worse Bernard is because he definitely needs to be carried.

Katsuyori Shibata

I liked his explosive style and personality; he reminded me a lot of Kazunari Murakami in that aspect. He could have been a major player for New Japan, and hopefully he'll go back soon.

Naofumi Yamamoto

A solid young wrestler who has a bright future.

Blackjack Lanza

Not seen enough to judge.

Kensuke Sasaki

Sasaki is good, but not great. He can carry decent workers but not poor ones, and is someone else who needs to be carried to have a great match.

I agree, but what I see in him and Test that I really like is they understand the little things you have to do as a heel to get heat, which a lot of guys they call up just do not understand. I think they need to make him arrogant beyond just being French. I'm interested in what Heyman will do with him in ECW, hopefully more than him being the "Extreme Frenchman" which I could sadly see
