jwpeer 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Click Here A strong overall week, with decent sales at Best Buy and Circuit City. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it's all about Ong-Bak. Unfortunately I bought an import version months ago, before the movie even hit theaters here...but it's truly an enjoyable martial arts flick.
dubq 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Not much on that list I'm interested in. Except the complete CHEF! series, of course.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Street Trash is out today. Unfortunately, it's not the 2-disc special edition due out later. I'll wait for that one. Interesting fact: Horror author Edward Lee liked "Cup of My Blood". In fact, the directors of that movie are going to do an adaptation of Lee's novel "The Messanger" as their next film. Nice to see "Fire and Ice" out. I remember this one from my childhood. Probably won't buy it, but it is cool to see it's out. Finally, Ong Bak is a movie I've been wanting to see. Hope it's as good as everybody says it is.

When you put that together with the OOP 2-disc set, it makes for an absolute complete ultimate five-disc Gladiator collection. If you like the movie at all, think about it. The 3-disc set reminds me a lot of the awesome Black Hawk Down 3-disc set.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 30, 2005 downhome...that's a PAL DVD, so are you sending your fellow US posters to buy a DVD that they won't be able to use?
Downhome 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Cool, I forgot that came out today also. I'm holding off on box sets until the next DDD sale. downhome...that's a PAL DVD, so are you sending your fellow US posters to buy a DVD that they won't be able to use? Many DVD players, and most that I've encountered, allow you to play PAL DVDs on them. Go to http://www.videohelp.com/ to check to make sure if you don't know if one does or not. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Isn't the tv a problem when it comes to PAL and NTSC?
Downhome 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2005 Not if your DVD player itself converts PAL to NTSC, and most DVD players I have come used do just that. I have quite a few PAL DVDs and I've played them on many different DVD players on many different TVs. Since this one is R0, you don't need to worry about region codes getting in the way. Mik 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2005 I also picked up Curb, but the local Best Buy had many copies.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 The Trauma dvd comes out today and I have a question. Is it true that Asia Argento was only 16 when she starred in this film? I only ask because she has a topless shower scene, and I know the rules in some European countries might be slightly different as far as nudity goes. I am just wondering if this is a fact or if this is just another one of those, "well she looked young, so lets just start spreading the under 18 rumor" kind of things.
