Well, things aren't looking great for this show at all at the moment.

 

SmackDown! can't really do anything in the way of WrestleMania backlash, which is what's making Backlash as good as it is.

 

I don't know if they can afford to not have a Tag Team Championship match like Raw, because they really need to fill that card.

 

The cruiserweight division is in shambles at the moment, with discussion about whether they should even be working for the company, whether Rey should be there, or even if the company should have a division. What could be planned for Judgment Day?

 

SmackDown! pissed away a Pay-Per-View draw in Rob Van Dam VS Booker T just to fill a show, which is mighty stupid.

 

And we all know that we're getting Eddy Guerrero VS John Bradshaw Layfield for the WWE Championship, but as I was lying in bed this morning, a thought hit me. A horrible thought.

 

With what's been going on with the Big Show as of late, do you think that he could be thrown into the mix to make... Yep, you guessed it... another Triple-Threat match?

 

Right now, I'm not enticed to purchase the PPV. How about you?

I think Big Show is out to get surgery. I'm pretty sure we'll see Two Cool vs. Dudleys for the tag titles. In a wild guess, I see the card as maybe something like this:

 

Eddie vs. Bradshaw

Taker vs. Vince

Booker vs. RVD (some sort of gimmick, maybe)

Cena vs. Frenchy (US title)

2 Cool vs. Dudleys (tag titles)

Chavo vs. Nunzio vs. Rey (cruiserweight title)

 

And then they'll fill out the card with Haas, Rico, Holly, whoever.

 

Doesn't look too exciting. People are already predicting this to get one of the lowest buyrates ever...

Unless Big Show just takes the time off between now and Judgment Day, it'll probably be Big Show vs. Angle, Eddie vs. JBL, Cena vs. Dupree, Too Cool vs. Dudleys. Maybe a cage match between Booker and RVD.

Yeah, I thought that it was a bit early, but I just wanted to get the thread off the ground.

 

Joe, 'Taker VS Vince is a pretty big prediction.

 

Remember, Vengeance wasn't shaping up to be anything special, and it surprised. Then again, SmackDown! don't have the Superstars to do that right now.

Yeah, that's just my guess of what will happen. Vince can replace Kurt for a few weeks, Taker can get revenge for Survivor Series in a casket match or something, and Booker can stay feuding with RVD instead of getting squashed. But who knows, it probably won't happen.

Yeah, I thought that it was a bit early, but I just wanted to get the thread off the ground.

Why? We don't even know any of the matches except of course, the one we've dreaded for a month now. No imformation on any matches other than tat have been announced or leaked out, so this thread is not needed for at least two weeks.

I'm guessing that Van Dam VS Booker was on SmackDown! because 'Taker is facing (squashing) Booker at the PPV.

 

Note: I'm not at all trying to hurry Backlash by getting this thread started, because Backlash looks to be a much better show than Judgment Day. It's just that Backlash doesn't have anything (well, not much) to do with Judgment Day, and SmackDown! have already attempted to start building for it.

Okay, as stated before, Backlash hasn't even happened yet, so starting a thread about a PPV where only one match is announced and nothing else but rumors is just wasting time.

 

Start the JD talk when more is confirmed and not just a bunch of rampant speculation.
