Guest CronoT Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 As most people here know, this past week was my birthday. My family and I did the cake and presents Saturday night. During then, I received two gift cards, one from Target, (from my sister and bro-in-law) for $15, and one from Best Buy, (from my step-sister and her mom) for $30. So, I went and bought a media storage shelf unit/book case at Target, and then on my way home, stopped at Best Buy, and bought Star Fox Assault. Here's a pic of the new furniture, with all my games on it, seperated by console, and listed alphabetically. The two game that aren't with the others are the ones in the GameCube and the X-Box. I think it's a good system, so I'll always remember which game is in the consoles. Now, I'm not bragging about how many games I have with this pic, because I know there are probably a lot of people here that have more. I just wanted to show off my new birthday presents.
Guest DonVito Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 You could probably fit all of that crap on the same shelf.
Guest CronoT Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 You could probably fit all of that crap on the same shelf. I could, but then I'd have to sort through all of them for every system, to find the right game. Simplicity is best, when it comes to multiple options.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Wow, those are some spiffy shelves. Uh... hmm... hmm... Was there any assembly required? That's all I got...
Guest Failed Mascot Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Was there any assembly required? You're asking a man who can't assemble a proper thought so obviously it was the floor model.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Oh, and props to whoever had a field day with the refresh button...
Art Sandusky Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 That was a fascinating look into CronoT's daily life.
Guest CronoT Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Wow, those are some spiffy shelves. Uh... hmm... hmm... Was there any assembly required? That's all I got... It came in the box, all the pieces and parts unconstructed, I believe the word would be. I spent about 1 1/2 to 2 hours after I got home putting it together. This is the third piece of home decor furniture I've constructed from a "kit," so I'm fairly good at it now. As for you, Mascot; bite me.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 I have 4 mini book shelves that I have yet to construct because I'm lazy. I'm hoping to line up the area of the guest bedroom with these shelves because, like I've said in other posts, the ceiling to this room is "sloped" so these mini-shelves will be a perfect fit. I'll try to remember to post photos of my shelves when I get them assembled...
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 14, 2005 Report Posted March 14, 2005 Oh, and props to whoever had a field day with the refresh button... Thank you.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I have a new lamp. Now, now Ripper -- this is a thread about things we buy, not steal...
Guest Failed Mascot Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Way to go Ripper. There's some young and impressionable white girl who won't be able to read her bible tonight because you stole her lamp and probably turned it into a bong. I hope you're happy.
The Czech Republic Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 "I don't even have a gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I going to do with a gun rack?" Seriously. You have ostensibly eight shelves, three of which are used, sparsely, at that, while I'll be struggling to get all my books and games stored in my bedroom when I take them all back from school. You're lame.
The Czech Republic Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 The two game that aren't with the others are the ones in the GameCube and the X-Box. I think it's a good system, so I'll always remember which game is in the consoles. Just open the fucking lids, if you need to know that badly.
Sideburnious Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Em nice book shelves. Are you just going to keep them for your eventual game collection or are you going to put books in the other shelves?
treble Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I wish I had a digital camera so I could take pictures of my shelves. There's DVDs on them!
Art Sandusky Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Tim is the most underrated poster in TSM history.
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I wish I had a digital camera so I could take pictures of my shelves. There's DVDs on them! I have CDs and books on mine too.
Guest CronoT Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Em nice book shelves. Are you just going to keep them for your eventual game collection or are you going to put books in the other shelves? I'm going to be putting just about everything on those shelves: games, books, CDs, DVDs, what have you. I honestly bought the shelves, because my very large walk-in closet is a giant fucking mess. I don't think I'll be talking a picture of it, though. I might take a picture of the shelves when I finish organizing my stuff on it.
Guest DonVito Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I can't wait to see your collection of ICP CDs.
Guest CronoT Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 I can't wait to see your collection of ICP CDs. You think I'd waste my money on that shit?
