I agree with everything that Aero said about match placement. The Goldberg match wasn't that much of a step down from the WWE Championship. Though not the worst fall, Ted DiBiase going from the focal point of the WWF Championship tournament at WrestleMania IV to a nothing match one year later against Brutus Beefcake is really up there.

1995 was fucking brutal if your only options were WWF and WCW. That first year or so of the WCW Hulkamania era was a real chore to deal with. And don't even get me started on the Diesel renaissance that swept nobody off their feet. At least we got Nitro in the last quarter of the year and the rise of ECW, which really helped to up the ante.
