  1. OK, didn't know if that in-ring promo that he did with DiBiase introducing him was late 95 or early 96. I think I'm wrong. His promo aired on the last RAW of '95. Still, I consider 1996 to be his first year with the company.
  2. I just went back and rewatched that the other day. Good lord Buffer sucks.
  3. He did not appear on television until 1996.
  4. I have no idea how good Joe Rotunda is or how far he may go, but the thought of he and Ted, Jr. winning the WWF Tag Team Titles is kinda awesome. A tandem of second generation wrestlers holding belts that their respective fathers also held together is unprecedented, as far as I know.
  5. You can't go wrong with BxB Hulk!
  6. I seriously cannot wait to see part two.
  7. A really great write-up from Mike Johnson. Beware of spoilers.
  8. HHH has already been announced as #1.
  9. Weird. Looks like it keeps tabs on our use of emoticons. No idea what purpose it is supposed to serve.
  10. He would be a fun surprise entrant, since he came up in Michigan.
  11. How exactly are they going to de-push her? Make her appear dumber in her storylines (but I thought we had something special Randy!) ? Job her out to better female wrestlers who should be beating her anyway? Make her date Test again? Randy Orton could take a shit in her purse...... I wonder if he trashed their hotel room after he was done banging her. During?
  12. Yeah-uh! Aero will appreciate this one. Serves the little fucker right.
  13. I have no idea what you're talking about.
  14. Brock Lesnar is the runner-up for Most Charismatic? Really?
  15. Christ almighty, yes- Monsoon talking about Michaels walking out without being pinned, when it wasn't the case, irked the holy hell out of me. I love Monsoon but, really, what the fuck? This is the kind of mistake that I would have expected from Russo-era WCW when the announcers were in the dark about what was going to happen. But he had to have had a copy of the booking sheet directly in front of him. WWF/E doesn't mess around when it comes to that kind of stuff. Cannot remember if I mentioned this before, but WWF Magazine, in their Survivor Series coverage, erroneously reported that Ted DiBiase was pinned with Piper's quick rollup.
  16. You really cannot argue with 1996. Austin literally saved the company from from going under, and Foley/Rock were strong draws and licenses themselves. I love Vader and Mero, but they had no effect on the company's financial performance. Sadly, Sable was a bigger acquisition from 1996 then either of them were.
  17. I really wish that I had made my selections at the last minute, instead of two or three weeks ago, being that HHH has since been announced as the number one entrant, and just might go on to become to iron man in this year's rumble. Also, MVP might actually end up in the final six.
  18. I still say that this Orton-McMahon program soooooo doesn't need the Heavyweight Championship. The angle itself is already already shaping up to be bigger than anything else going into WrestleMania. The big championship matches can be their own draw. You don't think Vince will sell "The Punt" a couple months? Maybe he will, maybe he won't. I would say that if he were going to sell it, long-term, the time probably wouldn't have been now. This is really one of those "wait and see" angles. It may not even shape up until after No Way Out, what with the company's decision to make it the "Elimination Chamber pay-per-view." Like I said, though- I kinda like the idea of this angle playing out without the World Championship becoming a prop. It already has its own momentum.
  19. Yes, and yes. You should be listening to Braid, though, as this is just Bob Nanna's best effort at recapturing the magic.

  21. I think that I might have that same plate (not the exact same plate, of course).
  22. I think that it was pretty good for the first two years. I even liked the schism between Hollywood and Wolfpac, though having guys like Sting and Luger joining up was kinda dumb, in my opinion. And there definitely should have been a blowoff sometime in late '98. Instead WCW just let it atrophy to the point where it would never recover as a compelling commodity again.
  23. I miss the Natural Born Thrillers.
  24. WCW wasn't exactly renowned for their quality control.
  25. You're not disproving my argument, goldengreek Shouldn't you be FYM?
