WWE General Discussion for June 2007
mysterious_w replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
I reckon they fucked up with the title change, they could easily have had Cryme Time drafted over to SD, and have them face D&D at Vengeance. Have London and Kendrick come over to RAW, then have a TLC 6-way between Hardys, Londrick and WGTT. Have Hardys retain then have the redneck heel turn and title change the next night. -

The only realistic 6th man would be Kane then if he got drafted. Although it would be funny if say Sandman got traded over and added. -

Really though, of the other 3 men in that match, the only other one I'd like to see face Cena at Summerslam is Booker. -

He was rumoured to be involved in the main-event in Summerslam a while back. I can udnerstand why people were complaining when he was on RAW last week, because when he doesn't have a match to promote it tends to just rabble on for a bit and do his cheap pop stuff. But when he's given something he finds interesting, he is still extremly capable of putting on a good match, and is one of the bets guys on the mic. By that I mean most main-eventers draw for their PPV matches with things like TV tag-matches, altercations, beat-downs etcetera. Foley on the other hand is one of very few that can draw purely with a promo (Case in point, ECW Anti-hardcore promos,). -

Oh well it's going to even more of a clusterfuck then. -

The 5-way at Vengeance; elimination or one-fall? And has there ever been a five-way for the WWE title? (Plenty of 4 and 6 man matches, but 5?) -
Mr. McMahon "dead" - Now for the "whodunit" angle.

Because he was grinning like a nutcase unlike everyone else at Vince's walk of doom. I just thought he was smiling because no one would be able to tell him what moves he couldn't do anymore. -

Thinking about it, this could have been WWE's best idea (in generating interest, not for entertainment) in ages. They've lacked the Austin/Rock figure that has mainstream cross-over appeal, and previous attempts to pick up some fans from different demographics have all been pretty lackluster (Trump being the most obvious). In terms of who is most known to the general public today, Vince wins over everyone in the WWE, and killing him off will be seen as massive to them. -
I was annoyed he didn't call Vince a no-good motherfucker. To be honest though, he might have done, I had no clue what he said at all.
-
Kane 3 We've already had Kane 2. Ah true. Thinking about it, I really enjoyed the Kane vs Fake Kane match at Vengeance, mainly because Fake Kane did such a good impersonation job. Man, I miss old-school Kane.
-
If that's true Vince better become Kane II just for the ridiculous nature of it.
-
How so? Punk's only lost a couple of times in almost a year, and Cor Von has always looked strong. On the other hand, Benoit just lost SD's secondary title to MVP by 2 straight falls in a 2/3 falls match.
-
I reckon he justs makes bets with Michael Cole before each show, "$100 says I can namecheck 3 wrestlers who won titles in Memphis in the 80's"
-
Did you hear how hot the crowd was for the hardcore match? Granted it was Philly, but hearing those "Balls, Balls, Balls whoooooooaaaaaa Balls" chants were awesome.

No matter who is the culprit, I guarantee the resolution will be unsatisfying. -

Awwwwww shit. We have our first victim for Hunter Quad Tear Recovery Tour 07. -
Wild Arms would be a good example for that. They stuck with SNES syle 2D environments (nicely animated though), then went 3D for the battles, but it was really blocky models, even for early PS1 days.
-
Because it was ECW, anything goes. Imagine what the show would have been like today if they kept with that mentality.
-
Yeah it was Lesnar. I rememebr that event vividly, because instead of the regular WWE LiveWire type program of RAW highlights that I used to watch they had an hour of interviews with McMahon, Ross and others talking about how unprofessional Austin had been.
-
Yeah wow! We now have to watch 2 guys who have good chemistry in the ring together with a track record of good matches! Sounds shit doesn't it! Anyways, they better pull out Sid or Jericho tonight, WWE hasn't given us any huge awesome surprises in months.

He must think JBL is the worst commentator ever then. -
Why is Paul Heyman always credited for first showcasing Benoit in America, when he appeared in WCW PPV's in '93? (SuperBrawl III and Slamboree 1993)

Rey Mysterio may be 32, but he's knees are completely shot. I think doctors have been telling him for years to quit using his style, and I think he's borderline for returning now. Also, Joe is a badass, not a monster. Key difference, Joe can kick the shit out of you 50 ways and will enjoy it, but he's still human, and can still feel remorse and regret. The point of a monster is that they are unstoppable, they have no feelings whatsoever.
