  1. I really don't give a fuck if it's bad for the business, does RVD no favours, or gives a win to someone undeserving, I just don't want to see Snitsky beat RVD at ONS.
  2. I'd like CM Punk to stay in ECW, as he may get lost in the mix in Smackdown or Raw. One more year in ECW could build him up really big, and get him into the top-tier of wrestlers. As far as switches, put the Hardys on Smackdown so they can have crazy spotfests with Londrick, and put Finlay on Raw.
  3. It's not black and white definitely. If say, MVP won his first title at Wrestlemania 24, lost it 4 months later at the GAB in July, won it back at Survivor Series in November then lost it again at the Rumble in January, I reckon he would look stronger by WM25 than if he held the belt for around 6 months but won and lost in 5 or 6 times. However, I think he'd also look stronger the first way than if he held the belt for 6 months straight from WM to Unforgiven and then did nothing significant til Mania.
  4. From how WWE have booked it, I see JBL as a stronger champion than Edge is currently. Because although Edge his in his 3rd reign while Bradshaw held the top belt only once, JBL's reign was 280 days, compared to Edge's 21, 76 and currently 18 day stints.
  5. Length. Because being good enough to win a title 10 times also meant you sucked enough to lose it 10 times as well.
  6. Finlay's never been on RAW right?
  7. A forum, similar to this, but much, much worse. Can I have a link? I've googled various combinations of dvdr, forum, message board, wrestling and wwe, but they all lead to scene release sites and similar.
  8. Ariel was pretty plain. Batista can have good matches, but more often than not doesn't. Together, they are of little interest to me. The fact that you guys are having such a heated argument about it I find humourous though. What is the DVDR board though?
  9. I think this was the week I started watching wrestling. The first PPV I rememebr hearing about was Breakdown. I lived on Tiger Ali Singh matches as a kid.
  10. Here's an inury list I've made: Raw: Shawn Michaels Super Crazy Triple H Smackdown: Ashley Gregory Helms JBL? (Not sure if he's actually confirmed his retirement) King Booker Mr. Kennedy Rey Mysterio Undertaker ECW: Hardcore Holly Excluding JBL, there's 6 main-event possibilites out at the moment.
  11. Ah, didn't know today was the day. Great wrestler, been watching some of his stuff in Japan against Jushin Liger.
  12. Edge in a HIAC match is something I'd really like to see. Batista though? If he pulls his socks up and puts in a WM/Backlash performance it could be very good, but if he does it like he did JD then it could be atrocious.
  13. Another vid I've made, this time highlighting Cor Von's talents: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQ-AeNUe1e8
  14. I'm really looking forward to New Breed vs CM Punk & RVD, should be a good match
  15. Apart from RVD (obviously), which wrestlers have been linked to cannabis use?
  16. Oh, how would I love it if they decided to give Dreamer and Sandman 15 minutes to just beat the shit out of each other at ONS to keep the internet fans happy. Of course it'll never happen, but given tonight's RAW I could use it.
  17. Foley wasn't known in anywhere but Memphis back in 88.
  18. 4 from 7, pretty bad really seeing as a few were obvious. I didn't think any of the matches were excellent honestly, Benoit v. MVP had too slow a start and the counters looked sloppy compared to their work at WM and Backlash. Punk's match was the best of the night (loved the super high Elijah Express), but even that started a bit slow. 17 minutes though, didn't expect that. Batista's good PPV run ended here, as he was back to slow boring Dave. And I almost fell asleep in the Flair match, it was that crap. Was I the only one who loved HBK's concussion selling? I thought it was awesome, though I hear it's been done before. Well, to fresh eyes it looked good.
  19. I agree that Shane just turning against Vince makes more sense, but how do you do that with this kind of match? If it was fatal-4-way it would be simple, but the pinning combinations with a 3-on-1 handicap match just lead to booking nightmares.
  20. Watch the Vince-Shane promo 25 minutes into Backlash. Right at the end, watch Shane's reaction to Vince. Those were what Foley refers to as "planting seeds". That is why I think Shane will turn tonight.
  21. Do any of the big indy promotions regularly book ECW style hardcore matches? By that I mean tables ladders and chairs, not flourescent tubes and weed whackers like CZW seems to offer. I think RVD would be best booked in those kind of matches, partly because it was add to his drawing power with some ECW nostalgia, and partly because of the chair surfing, Van Terminator spots are the best RVD has to offer.
  22. I'm gonna try my hand at a PPV prediciton: Carlito vs Ric Flair I find it odd that this match has already happened on a house show in the past week (Carlito won). Anyway, I've always enjoyed Carlito's work so it should be a good match, even with ol' broken down Flair in the ring. Tough one to call, as WWE may pull out the punsihment card for Carlito's WM comments and have him job here. But what the hey, I'm still going to go for Carlito to win. Winner: Carlito CM Punk vs Elijah Burke If it lasts more than 5 minutes from bell to bell, it has the potential to be a good match. If it goes more than 10, a very good match. More than 15 it could easily be match of the night, but that's unlikely to happen. With CM Punk and Elijah you have 2 guys with a great look, excellent athleticism, great ring work, bags of charisma and talent on the mike. They are both the total package, and WWE better not screw these potential main-eventers up over the next few years. If Elijah loses, it can go into an angle of how he's not fit to lead the New Breed, but a CM Punk loss leads to nothing. So a pretty obvious outcome here. Winner: CM Punk Chris Benoit vs MVP: 2/3 falls for the United States Championship There will be no point to three straight PPV matches if MVP doesn't get the belt here. But then again, I can't see him picking up 2 falls. There's always the cheap pin from the tights or the ropes, but what then? I've already asked about this match in the Comments Thread because I suspect some dodgy finishing for MVP to get the belt. Winner: MVP Shawn Michaels vs Randy Orton One of 3 matches I have no interest in seeing tonight. Orton's miracle job run 07 started with Edge and should continue here. Winner: HBK Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and Umaga vs Bobby Lashley: 3-on-1 handicap match for the ECW Championship And here's number 2. I feel Shane's gonna turn tonight, and him pinning someone to put the belt on himself would just make no sense at all. So Shane will help Lashley to victory, and it'll be Shane+Lashley vs. Vince+Umaga and the next PPV Winner: Lashley Edge vs Batista: World Heavyweight Championship Batista has had 2 good PPV matches in a row. Which, looking at his whole career, is remarkable. He really should have no problems making it 3 with Edge, as long as he keeps his side of the matters up. Edge has to win though. Winner: Edge John Cena vs Great Khali: WWE Championship I've already mentioned how I'd book this in the comments thread, but it won't happen like I want it to. Cena has to win here, and not just because I don't want to watch 2 Khali main-events in a row. Unless they do something really retarded like keep Khali champion til Summerslam where Hunter blitzes him in his comeback match. Holy shit, that's just too awful to think about. Winner: John Cena
  23. Wrestlemag Wrestlemania 25 ME predicition: Mariusz Puczko vs. Daniel Rodimer
  24. ...I like Hardcore Holly.
