  1. Bump for the maff chat tonight.
  2. America is one of the few countries in the world with a traditionally conservative government and a liberal populace. It's just something that has baffled political scientists. It's the midwest.
  3. I have everything against that Celine Dion song.
  4. Yes, I nominated it as the worst film of 2008. Absolutely terrible.
  5. Most people try to avoid the mission district at night. There's stuff to do there, but it's a largely homosexual area and sometimes it gets kind of sketch. And never go into the Tenderloin district.
  6. Added some Marlon Brando and James Dean flicks.
  7. So I'm not the same weed dealer/smoker I was several months ago, but I can't help but look forward to this movie. I've never not enjoyed an Apatow group flick, and they have been getting much better as time goes on. Superbad and Sarah Marshall, in my view, were more focused on lulz than Virgin or Knocked Up, and at a good result. Anyways, this movie looks like a pretty good laugh. I'm excited for Franco's performance.
  8. The North Face is one of the favorites in the area. Get me a jacket while you're there, too. There's one on 1238 5th street, and another on 180 Post Street. To get to the one on Post, take BART from anywhere you are to the Montgomery St station. I forget where Union Square is, but it'll be close to that BART station, and your fare will be $1.50 each way. Anyways, just take BART to Montgomery, and find Post, and just walk down about a block or two.
  9. You're a fucking punk... If that was my kid, I'd smash your face in.
  10. "Come on down!"
  11. Yeah, I don't hold much hope for TDK beating out Pineapple Express. Because I know I will be seeing that.
  12. Beer is cool
  13. Oh shut the fuck up.
  14. The only hangover I ever had was in Japan. I came into my hotel room at 4AM and fell into the bed that my dad was sleeping in. He didn't think much of it.
  15. I live here too now, you know. Anyways, there's lots of stuff to do. I didn't write the next several paragraphs. Well, it depends on what you want to get out of it, but the Bay is full of good stuff. Been to 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley? Cool punk club that's been all volunteer run for over 20 years. 924gilman.org Slims is good. Also, Thee Parkside in SF. Laid back bar with pretty awesome shows. www.theeparkside.com The mission district in SF is pretty awesome. Depends how you feel about hipsters, I guess. But there are some rad bars: Kilowatt is a good dive, Casanova has a cool atmosphere. I like more laid back places, but if you want the crowds, Elbo Room and Delerium are good. Monday nights, 540 Club on Clement St in the Inner Richmond Dist of SF has dollar mixed drinks. Borderlands books on Valencia St is all sci-fi/horror/fantasy. Probably my favorite book store in the city. Green Apple books on Clement is also good. Oh, you HAVE to go to the Parkway Theater in Oakland. They play cool movies and also serve food and alcohol, and the seating is all couches and chairs and tables. Get some friends, get drunk, and catch an action movie - you can be all loud and nobody cares. It's like watching at home but with a big screen. www.picturepubpizza.com And there's also popscene. Yeah. Also, the Bridge on Geary is solid. They have Midnight Mass every weekend, showing cool movies at midnight. I'm def catching Purple Rain. http://www.peacheschrist.com/mmass/2008/index.html Rasputin is a pretty solid record store, I like the one in downtown SF better than Berkeley. And yeah, I guess I'll be there too.
  16. I'll let it slip this once, but don't let it happen again. I take my PT Cruisers very seriously.
  17. Yuck. Just yuck.
  18. They're PT Cruisers for one, and the Mini Cooper is the closest you can get there.
  19. Except the Angels are playing a terrible defensive game. 4 fucking errors.
  20. There's seriously a band called The Devil Wears Prada?
  21. I agree. I'll do my part as soon as I get paid on Monday. Fucking Titanic.
  22. fuuuuuuuuuuck yeah
  23. Not the same thing at all, Marvin. We make fun of George Bush's speeches because they're usually marked with terrible policy or a lack of understanding of the world around us. Not because he says "uh" a lot.
  24. How about we just go back to the 40 acres and a mule shit? "Let's not be naive. Sen. Obama is running for president of the United States, and so he is in a constant battle to save his political life," said Kibibi Tyehimba, co-chair of the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America. "In light of the demographics of this country, I don't think it's realistic to expect him to do anything other than what he's done." "And they're still complaining!"
