Well, you'll LOVE The Amazing Race 7, won't you?
-
It was kinda weird. They started off with a half-hour block consisting of 10-minute (incl commercials) eps of Jem, Bigfoot and Robotix. Then, they moved to 15 minutes each with the shows rotating (I think they added a different show here as well). Finally, Jem got the full 1/2 hour, and the others went away.
-
Question: Why does Sawyer need to get his heat back from A BOAR?
-
As a matter of fact, it IS, and I picked that up as well
-
Potential quote of the ep: "Did you ever have Gulf War Syndrome?" "That was the other side" "Oh yeah"
-
Anybody watch "Jem"? My older sister got me hooked on it. Those bitches were hot. Actually, for a show that had eps that were (at various times) 10, 15 or 30 minutes long, it was pretty good. Odd thought, but was Jem a model for Sharon Apple in Macross Plus?
-
You know, I still love the character and all, but to me Sawyer's face turn is the most inexplicable face turn this side of Chris Leben. Also, why is T-1000 channeling Michael Madsen?
-
OK, not to throw water all over Melter's comments, but the role of Eliott and Raji are meant to be the comic relief as well as the antagonists (back me up here Betty), so this is not a huge revelation. Plus, he's playing off of Vince Vaughn...

Man, you're just full of bad news today for TNA. This is good news for Shelley though. He's been buried since Goldilocks left/was cut loose.

In case you haven't been there yet... The official site

Vixen? Man, that's digging deep into the well of Justice Leaguers. Good for CN to greenlight a third season, although I suppose it's a no-brainer for them. Hopefully they can give us a Giffen-DeMatteis-Maguire-era Justice League ep. I was disappointed with this ep, but that probably has to do with not caring much about Fourth World stuff that doesn't directly involve Darkseid and/or Metron...

Late like GL: Rebirth, but better late than never... GL: Rebirth #4 ASTONISHING X-MEN #8 NEW X-MEN #10 $2.99 RUNAWAYS #1 (OF 12) $2.99 Notes: (1) 'bout fricking time. (2) I've always found it funny that Previews has Hustler and other adult mags for solicitation. Is having Hustler in a comic store similar to having it in the airport newsstands? You know, for people that have to have their porn RIGHT NOW, instead of being patient and downloading it at home? And can I get money to do a study on this?

Rule #1 of reality TV - if you end up looking bad, blame the editing.

I have that one on tape too (thank you, Motor City Comicon. Also thank you for having Aria Giovanni show up). Sadly, it's not as good as you'd hope it would be. Then again, it's spliced from two different Japanese series, so there's only so much you can do. There's BotP DVD's on sale which not only have BotP eps, but the (much more violent) Gatchaman eps they were based on, AND an Eagle Riders (I think) ep as well, so you can compare the different shows. There's also a Gatchaman 95 DVD out, which updated the series, and Jun/Princess is more, um, bouncy - if you're into that sort of thing.
-
They had some pretty good stuff when Heidi Macdonald was EiC there...
-
It's because most people remember it as "G-Force" or "Gatchaman", I think. I'm more a Robotech guy, myself.

M-M-M-MASK...Always riding hot on VENOM's trail... I still have a few of those on my Hard drive. EDIT: Also, with what Spiff said... my favorite was "Stiletto On." Got the series on VHS, but I don't think it's that obscure. Same with Battle of the Planets.

Lots of shit that rotted my brain: Force Five (minus Spaceketeers) Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs (whose theme song alternated between cheesy, ghey and S&M-ish with a guitar tying it all together) Saturday Supercade Pac-Man Silverhawks (whose theme song was similar to Saber Rider, minus the whips) C.O.P.S. Centurions She-Ra (like you didn't watch this right after He-Man) Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors (good concept, bad show) Robotix

Probably the easiest thing to do is to either win the MW challenge (if the winners get to pick the fight) or have Leben throw the challenge (Team Couture never got a new MW, right?) if loser gets to pick.
-
Hmm, another grappler vs striker match, although in this case Leben would seem to be better than Alex K and Josh worse than Diego. Then again, Josh might be another Matt Hughes (and at this point I'm stretched to the limit of my MMA knowledge), so who knows.
-
In light of what Leben's done previously on the show, I really don't have no problem with everything up to and including "fatherless bastard", even if that was a bit of a low blow. And to his credit, he realized that he was still "on tilt" and decided to defuse the situation by sleeping outside. So of course Josh and Bobby decide to antagonize the guy further, and again to Leben's credit he doesn't try to fight them (which seems to be what they wanted). Mind you, he destroys some property, but overall it's better than starting a brawl. I think the thing that annoys me the most is Southworth's part in all this. This guy's in his mid-30's, with a wife and kid, so you'd think he'd be a bit more mature than we've seen on the show. Contrast this to Nate Quarry, who may yet prove that nice guys can finish first.

Hope you used your VCR/DVR or have BitTorrent...

Considering he's got like 14 kids, I'd say so. But the sexual misconduct charges - even though they were dismissed - are gonna stay with him, which makes it tough for him to get a regular job.
-
Actually it was those WWII covers that made me realize they were legit...
-
Yeah, it's been made mention on TWoP. Good 24 recaps there, provided you understand M Giant's cognomens...
