Probably the time a friend of mine jumped off a wall with his skaetboard, about 10 feet high, and landed on his leg and snapped it in two. It was the amount of trash he was talking about how great he was and then fucking up the jump that made me break into tears.

Happy birthday Zack. You should visit Malibu one day. It's nice.

The names Bee-Bop and Rocksteady mean so much more to me now.

Were you on drugs when you came up with this thread?

Chris O'Donnell. Another victim of the "Batman & Robin" disaster.

Since Hamill's name was brought up... Anyone think Carrie Fisher was typecasted after Star Wars came out? She got work but did any of her movies spark something up for her?

Personal preferences and all. I thought the movie was incredibly too-cute and thought that Eddie Murphy had swapped bodies with Dana. His health is more important than his career and I hope that he'll do at least one more movie that gives him a proper send-off (if he calls it quits). MoD just doesn't seem like it would be the right movie to remember Dana by as his last (or even a sequel for that matter).

Yeah, I liked Lethal Weapon 4 more than 2 or 3. I thought Jet Li was a good villain in the 4th.

Dana Carvey. He did "Master of Disguise" as his big comeback movie after nearly dying on a surgery table and it just looked like he didn't care anymore. Does he have the same agent as Eddie Murphy?

Anyone here think Harrison Ford is finished as a big time leading actor after doing "What Lies Beneath," which turned him into the bad guy?
-
Gary Busey. Drugs and doing "D.C Cab" with Mr.T twisted this former leading actor into something decrepit.

Jeff Goldblum. What the hell happened to him after he did "Holy Man" with Eddie Murphy?

"The Long Kiss Goodnight" came out like *right* after "Cutthroat Island" and it starred Samuel L. Jackson who was still a strong name to have in a movie after "Pulp Fiction" immortalized his badass brotha image. The movie was a success but Geena did not receive the same amount of pub that she had received for CI. She didn't do any other movies until "Stuart Little" came out in 1999 so 3 years had passed for her.

This is true. It use to be the other way around where he was a bigger draw in the US than in the foreign areas (who did not care for his slaughtering of fellow natives in his movies). That all changed with T2 when people all around the world became enamored with the special effects and grew to respect and like Arnie.

Geena Davis. I think "Cutthroat Island" is the only thing that needs to be mentioned. Before this, Geena could carry a movie on her own (with a little help of course) but this turned her name into box office poison.

Arnold Schwarzenegger. Check out this line-up courtesy of imdb: Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) Last Action Hero (1993) True Lies (1994) Junior (1994) Eraser (1996) Jingle All the Way (1996) Batman & Robin (1997) I'm surprised Schwarznegger could get people to come and see his movies after a string of hit and miss (crap) like that. Though, "Last Action Hero" bombed miserably at the box office in grand fashion. It was like the record holder for biggest bomb until "Cutthroat Island" was released. After doing TD, he effectively killed off his "badass" image that helped make his career. Talking for Arnold was one of the worst things he could have done once he felt the need to carry a movie's dialogue. Big mistake. At least in "Twins" he let Danny DeVito carry most of the speaking.

Michael Keaton. Keaton pulled a Travolta. He helped deep six his name with "Multiplicity" but came back strong with "Jackie Brown" and that gave him some life again. Then Keaton did "Jack Frost" and it was like his big screen time was over for good. I thought "Desperate Measures" was good and felt he should have stuck with the bad guy motiff.
-
Robert Carradine. "Revenge of the Nerds" typecasted him for life. Anthony Edwards managed to do okay for himself post-nerdom I guess.
-
Robin Shou. He was personable in "Mortal Kombat" but after doing "Beverly Hills Ninja" it seemed like he couldn't get any big screen time.
-
Heather Graham. After she did "Say It Ain't So" with Chris Klein, it was like she dropped off the face of the earth. She was in "From Hell" but her name was like a blip on the radar. I don't think she even got the top billing that Depp received.

Curtis Martin got cracked on that last run he made on the sideline. Ouch.

SD wishes this game was being played in 1981. Congrats to the Chargers for playing good in the snow.

Ironically, the Raiders were going to draft Big Ben instead of Robery Gallery. Al Davis likes QB's with strong arms who can bomb the ball down the field with no problem. They were also pegged to draft Willis McGahee but passed on him. This year they need to pick up Mike Williams. The 3 of them could have provided the team with great seasons for 10 + years. Oh well.

Holmgren should be dumped. This team was getting the "sleeper SB pick" before the season. That's been proven wrong this season. The Rams will finish 8-8 most likely and Martz will probably keep his job for another season. Big Mike should be dumped for sure though. Missing out on a potential playoff birth is asinine with the talent the Seahawks have. Without Rod Stone, Holmgren is an above average coach with a crappy eye for talent as a GM. Dump him.
