Yeah, however dumb the entrance is gonna be, taker's got it made. As long as they don't go over the top with all the lightning bolts and stuff during the actual match, that'll ruin it.

Mozza -Margaret on the Guillotine I'll see you live next time, ya bastard.
-
Oh great.
-
Oh god yes. Offensively derivative. Moreso than any of the others.
-
Lovely stuff! I didn't know about that, either. I recently bought Suede's debut album. And I like it. Don't tell anyone, though.

I can't stay awake for any abnormal amount of time, and excess alcohol will put me to sleep as soon as I lay down. My parents put rum in my bottle as a baby to keep my quiet, wonder if there's a connection. I don't use drugs, dunno if they'd have an effect.

Geoffrey is rock n roll.

Still Momus, disc 2 of the same compilation. He has a tendency to sound like the pet shop boys in places, but his lyricism is fantastic. I'll give examples when I've listened to it more than once.
-
I'm currently wearing 'What about all the GOOD things Hitler did?'. It's too big, should've accounted for American shirts being made to fit cows and Americans.
-
Momus - Forbidden Software Timemachine. He rules.

You all know my Coldplay spiels(s). Keane, however, have broken new grounds of dressing and playing in a certain way that is automatically classed as 'beautiful' and attempts to mask lack of any talent whatsoever. It would be clever, but I don't think they know they're doing it. Probably think they're good. Twats. The new wave of Zep hate doesn't surprise me, cos it's cool to hate something that's been popular forever every month here. I don't absolutely LOVE them, but at least take John Bonham out of the equation before you start hating, cos you couldn't debate his talents.

If Kane does win, it'll be in some shitty overbooked way, probably involving at least one Terry Bollea fireball or shitty pyro effect. In fact, those will probably factor into taker's win anyway.

As long as Ultimo is in, I'm happy. Put the title on him, even better. They should have put more effort into his debut to establish him as a hugely influential figure and put it on him then of course but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Even with his smaller repertoire these days he's got enough to get over with. And a cool entrance, which some marks still react to.

Closing tracks. No order, I don't think. 1. Tom Waits - That Feel (off Bone Machine) 2. Andrew WK - I Love Music (off The Wolf) 3. The Residents - Festival of Death (off Eskimo) 4. Wire - 99.9 (off Send) 5. XTC - The Last Balloon (off Apple Venus) The usual suspects, I guess.

Rocket From The Crypt - This bad check is gonna stick

I (as should anyone who's watched shooting stars) find tindersticks absolutely hilarious drunken singalong fodder, but yeah they're good.

I'd argue that this song is worse than any of those, Saturn. Hmmm The Scientist is more loathed for personal reasons, because my beloved Andrew WK gets flak for using simple piano and guitar parts, but supposedly when you slow it down and use even LESS chords it becomes 'beautiful'. AWK has more emotion in his voice, and Martin can't really hold a note for any longer than him. But Coldplay is so deep, maaan or whatever. Sorry, it's a subject VERY dear to me. The thrills at least have the fact that due to their irish accents they probably can't pronounce their own name.

fucking amazon cunts have delayed Angst in my pants by the mighty SPARKS by another 4-6 weeks. Argh. That probably means I won't get Laibach's version of Let It Be or the Einsturzende Neubauten anthology till then either. HOW CAN I LIVE THAT LONG WITHOUT EXPERIMENTAL GERMANIC ROCK???
-
Have you heard XTC's latest? (Apple Venus volume 1 & 2) I think they're magnificent, if not very very gay.
-
Seems to change every week now. Franz Ferdinand and their stabby, shitty riff are really pissing me off at the moment, but that's more cos I hear it everywhere. There's worse bands. Keane are the latest, like Coldplay, but worse, and with even less substance, if that were ever possible. Alarming, the depths to which we have sunk. I think 'The Scientist' is still my most hated song ever, overall. I did force myself to vomit in a pub when it came on the jukebox.
-
Don't rub it in, you complete bastard. Off to ebay for me.
-
The thing about bands like Franz Ferdinand and Muse is that they're actually trying really hard, and still sucking, whereas the darkness are just effortless, harmless fun. I'll stick with that.
-
If I get anywhere near that gig, I'll die sodden and thrilled.

This is a tricky one to describe, anyone seen it yet? I just have to say the actor that plays Dean Learner/Thornton Reed has tremendous delivery, I've not seen bad acting acted so well. The concept is that a horror writer (Garth Marenghi) wrote, directed and starred in a sci fi show in the 80s, it wasn't shown, now that writer is documenting the making of it whilst the episodes are finally being shown 'To get the critical acclaim they deserve'. Bizarre, but there's some good stuff in there.

Herb is fat? Haven't seen him recently, he didn't used to be.
