I think the Bowie/Jagger thing is one of the most terrifyingly bad things ever, especially if you've seen the video. That said, I have no opinion on the original. The Birthday Party come very close to surpassing the original version of 'Loose', but it's still a losing battle. The Wedding Present's 'Make Me Smile (come up and see me)' is great, and I certainly prefer it to the original, but it's hard to compare the two directly.

I wouldn't say they played awful by any stretch, the only criticism would be that they allowed the Ivorians a lot of the ball. Their tackling/recovering from that position was virtually flawless.
