  1. So Nirvana would be a little early? I'm not saying that's necessarily my pick, but I'm surprised they weren't mentioned.
  2. Another point, what are we classing as 'our generation'?
  3. Belle & Sebastian - 'Song For Sunshine'
  4. God I can't believe I laughed at that.
  5. Damn metal...
  6. Can people stop mis-spelling my name.
  7. I love threads like this.
  8. Considering who was involved, the spinebuster is one of the best timed things ever.
  9. 'American Pie' fuck he's right
  10. How did I manage to do that? They didn't do solos per say, just followed the vocal line with the guitar a lot. I'll admit finding an example was hard.
  11. Green Day and the Chilli Peppers have probably resulted in the most bands being formed in the last ten years.
  12. 'Ex Lion Tamer' has already been mentioned when the thread was still alive, but that won't stop me agreeing with it now. Also, every other Wire song from their golden period could probably go in here, I always loved the fact that whilst the song 'Pink Flag' is like 3.40, it sounds like an absolute epic.
  13. It's blatently Fall out boy aaah
  14. Same happened with me and 'My Favourite Dress'. The one other guy there who knew what it was clearly wanted to fuck me as well, which was awkward. Also, as Edwin named 'Left of the Dial', am I the only one who prefers 'Little Mascara'?

That's the guy, Madjid Bougherra, a defender of about 23.

    We have an Algerian!
  17. "The Loving." Even though it's guilty of having a guitar solo that plays the melody note-for-note, which has long been a peeve of mine. Also, if you can ignore the hokey lyrics, "The Mayor of Simpleton" is nice, but then I'm a sucker for Byrds-esque jangle. Yeah!

Those are the two I'd be like 'oh, okay then, Andy, if you really must...' for. Agreed on the note-for-note gripe, but man, when it works. Roxy Music knew how to do it almost perfectly.
  20. It appears England's summer came and went about a week ago. It's likely been abolished altogether.
  21. I don't think I've heard much worse than 'The Charismatic Enigma'.

Watching fucking L**ds get well and truly done with a L**ds fan was one of the better Sunday afternoons in recent memory, after laughing at all the children crying when they went down.
  23. I'll always want him to do well. I'll look into that match.
