Ok I'm getting into arguments with fellow OU fans about our secondary now. They seem to think that OU's secondary is really good and they think that the freshman Reggie Smith is like a superstar that's going to embarass Oregon. Smith is out of position and confused more times than he's actually in position to make a play. I really do think that b/c of the secondary OU will lose by at least 10-14 points. If the secondary was decent it'd be a different story. But I mean all you have to do is a play action if you're Oregon and all of OU's corners and safeties will bite. They do it everytime.

At least HHH wants wrestling......even if it involves nobody but himself.

Yeah but if that starting 5 were broken up I would care less about the Pistons. I like them now but if the Wallace's were to move on or something I wouldn't be saying I like the Pistons. But the Celtics I'll like no matter who is putting on the green jersey(well as long as it's not Kobe).

Well OU in 2003 was definitely #1 until KSU proved otherwise. That's why it was such a pearl harbor thing by KSU b/c people were talking about OU as maybe the best ever. They were still Top 5 even at the end of both of those seasons. They did finish #3 both seasons.

I was wondering how many people here are fans of players but not the team they play for? Like for example. I don't like the Chargers at all. But I like LT and Drew Brees and I enjoy watching them play. But if the Chargers didn't have either player I wouldn't watch a minute of a Chargers game. Same with the Pistons. I love that starting 5 but I could care less about the actual Pistons themselves. Does anyone else get this? Do you root for the team b/c you like the players? I usually do if they aren't playing my team but like I said. If the team lost those players I would care less. Ever had it grow into actual fandom? That's how I became and Eagles fan. I was such a mark for Cunningham and it grew.

OU vs. BC? I'd like that more than what we have now. God I wish we could've gone to the Alamo Bowl. How awesome would OU/Michigan be? Of course it wouldn't be easier than OU/Oregon but it would be less repetitive(OU and Oregon played last year and play next year). God OU is going to get killed by Oregon. This sucks b/c Stoops lost his first bowl but then he rattled off an Orange Bowl(national title), Cotton Bowl, and Rose Bowl. All bowls were won pretty easily too. Then he lost his next two bowls and now will probably lose his third straight making his bowl record 3-4. Suck.

You get a much easier bowl match against a very bad secondary. The only trouble that Oregon could possibly have is Adrian Peterson. But hey put 8-9 people in the box. It's not like Bomar or those WRs can beat you.

The Rose and Fiesta look good but I'm not terribly excited about the Sugar and Orange bowl.

OU is so close to being in the Top 25. They're the next team waiting to enter. But they're 23 in the BCS. So we go to the Holiday Bowl to play a team that likes to throw...and we can't defend against the pass. Sucks. I'd rather go to the Alamo Bowl. We could take Iowa.

Well I hope Sampson gets these kids to take better outside shots and someone needs to teach Everrett that he's not good enough to just try to completely take a game over. It's one of the reasons that OU lost to Duke last year.

Yeah but you're forgetting that Mack Brown has a month to prepare. Despite his previous choke jobs(all QB related which he will not have to worry about this season)he has still won a ton of games. And let's not forget who's running that defense and who has a month to gameplan with an already excellent defense. You guys are acting like Texas is not going to practice or plan and just loosely walk into the Rose Bowl and say "oh there's a football game today?" They'll be ready too. They've won over 20 straight ya know. I know USC's won over 30 straight but it's not like they're playing a team that got hot this year. It should be a good game. I'll be eagerly anticipating it. I've already asked off work for the night of the game. If Texas gets blown out or loses then I'll just be angry that USC won again. I could care less about Texas themselves. All I care about is if USC wins or loses. And Edwin USC hasn't played an offense as good as the Texas offense. Yeah they played UCLA but it's not as good as Texas. And USC hasn't played a QB that can escape. You can plan for it but when it actually happens it gets tough to defend.

Whatever happened to Stacy? I barely watch but I noticed she's not around.

I believe this was around the time that guys like HHH and UT were fighting undercard guys(and killing them) to make it look like they were giving the young guys the rub.

How are they more apt? Texas gets a ton of turnovers and blocked kicks. As long as Vince isn't carefree with the ball in this game then Texas should protect the ball. This game will come down to whoever turns the ball over. Because honestly I don't think either defense stops the other offense too much.

Yes but USC's defense hasn't played an offense as versatile as Texas. And they haven't played a dual-threat QB over their entire winning streak(unless you count bryan randall). So I don't think USC will be able to stop the Texas offense.

Bob has tons more talent to work with than Mike does and a better program to win with. But OU was fucking terrible when Bob showed up. He didn't even recruit the national title team of 2000(Derrick Strait was the only one).

Out of all the matches that I have watched , I would say War Games 96 is my favorite of the bunch. Luckily I've already seen that one. I've seen a lot of these but I haven't seen them in like 5 years.

OU has no secondary......just start throwing and don't stop. Even if you have a child throwing passes he's bound to connect enough against this crappy secondary to win the game. Don't even think about running the football. Just fling it everywhere. *yes i am bitter about OU's secondary*

Now that I have it working it's like sensory overload! I don't know what to watch and I don't think I have time to watch it all in one month!
