Yeah because nothing defines the state of Oklahoma better than a good ol' dirt burglar. Then again, I'm from New Jersey so my state could be defined as a politician taking bribes or by union strikes. We used to have a land rush in 6th grade after we learned Oklahoma history. We ran out onto the playground and staked our claim and ate lunch. I shot two kids that stole my land......

Do we even have a mascot? I mean we have the two horses but those aren't like some dude in a big suit....that's my biggest complaint about the school. No guy in a cool suit. What would a sooner mascot be anyways? Jim Ross? Well a Sooner is someone that jumped the gun during the land rush and set up early. They were criminals. Yes it's nice to have your state defined by criminals. Like Australia but less cool. I have no clue what a Sooner mascot would be though. Some crazy old prospector with a pick axe and rifle?

That just saved the show for me. When Chad and Sarge were elbowing each other b/c they realized what just happened....and the look on Ami's face! Awesome! Oh and Ami is a lesbian!? That explains SO much!

Bob Stoops is a terrific coach. His defenses at Florida were outstanding (Florida never got credit for having great defenses, yet under Spurrier, that was a common thing). However, to assume that sticking Bob in a far less-known school than Oklahoma would lead to even comparable success is a bit too much. He's a damned good coach --- but there isn't a coach on Earth who would have managed to make Arizona a top-notch team this season. -=Mike I'll ignore Shadow's trolling and agree with you Mike. I see where my mistake was at and I understand. OU was already a traditional powerhouse that had just had about 10 years of bad coaching. It still had the name to get the good players and Bob Stoops was able to do that and use his coaching know how to take them to the top immediately. Unfortunately his brother is stuck with a crappy program that he has to rebuild(can he rebuild something that was never built in the first place?) and try to do something good. From what I hear on the radio he's getting good recruits and has introduced a work ethic to the players that they've never had before. Many older Arizona players commented after summer workouts that they've never worked that hard before. So he is doing good things. My mistake. And I believe that Spurrier and Bob are good friends are they not? Bill Snyder and Steve Spurrier pretty much mentored Stoops and taught him what he needs to know. That's some damn good teachers.

I went to a play at OU recently called "The Laramie Project" anyone seen it? It was a very good play and shed some light on it b/c it's basically a retelling of interviews conducted after the murder.

Bob Stoops is Bob Stoops not b/c of Oklahoma but b/c he knows what the fuck he is doing, knows the correct system to use, and knows how to get the players he wants. Mike may be a great coach someday but I don't think he's as good as Bob Stoops. Bob is one of the best coaches in the country..period. And that's another thing that makes this Orange Bowl so damn attractive...it's the two best coaches butting heads.

I'm not saying he's a failure. I just gave him credit for having some close games and beating his rival. But so far he hasn't proved he's as good as Bob Stoops.

He only won 3 games! Bob at least had a winning season and went to a bowl with a team that was miserable the year before! I mean sure OU was in better shape than Arizona is but still.....well I guess he did show promise. He lost some close ones and did beat his rival. Plus he's supposedly been a good recruiter. But I mean he's no Bob......

Also, the color red is not the color blue. Texas runs away in the second half for the win, but they're still probably headed to the Cotton Bowl. Well what I'm saying is that some(read Arizona fans)probably thought that b/c of the success Bob Stoops immediately had at OU and the continuing success that Mike might just be as much of a coaching genius as his brother. And I think that's been proven false now.

And Mike Stoops has a horrible first season but at least ends it on a good note. One things for sure. He definetly isn't his brother.

Not to mention that just like the preseason polls he was picked as the preseason fav to win the Heisman and everyone is still sticking to him.

Harvard doesn't do post season play do they? Why?

Yeah well Leinhart seems like he has one game to prove his worth b/c most of the ballots will be cast before he and White take the field on December 4th. So maybe a good game by either of them there will really do nothing. If a bad game in the conference title game didn't hurt White then how could a good game help him or Leinhart?

This is the problem I have with the system overall(not just the BCS). People live and die by the AP and Coaches rankings it seems. But why are we so sure that's right? I mean these are people and they are subjected to bias. I'm not saying that anyone is biased but I mean they are human. So why are there rankings automatically right? Why is what they say what we should all live and die by in relation to college fb? I mean people were saying the computers were going to screw Auburn out of a title game but this week we come out and the voters are keeping them out of the title game as well. But I haven't heard anyone save maybe Trev Alberts(who's a flip-flopping dumbass anyways) complain that the humans are screwing Auburn and aren't getting it right.

Syracuse vs. Utah? Hmm.......Utah destroys the Orange. Ouch....well Utah's going to destroy anyone from that conference. So WV loses 2 games.....and Lee Corso picked them preseason to go to the National Title game......he is so confusing sometimes.

And from what I hear White pretty much is the frontrunner at the moment and a big game in the Big XII game will just lock it for him. I mean all the polls have him leading it and every sports writer I hear that comes on the radio(and these aren't oklahoma sports writers they're from all over) they all say that White is gonna get it. It's looking pretty good for him actually.

Quarterback of the #1 team? Gee, I wonder. And I don't think I've ever once seen you spell his name right. Ok....I wasn't sure how to spell it. Yeah he may be the QB of the #1 team but his stats aren't as good as the other two QB's stats nor has he had to win games for his teams like the other ones did. He's just not as impressive of a QB as White, Smith, and Rodgers.

So did anyone have any holiday blowouts? Any huge fights or yelling between family members? Unfortunately nothing happened over here. Everyone managed to keep their mouths shut. There obviously wasn't enough alcohol.

I have to go to bed in about 2 hours b/c I have to get up for this day from hell at 5 am. God help me.....

How is Leinhart at the top of all of this?
